We already talked about this, but I'm putting it here so it isn't forgotten. The breeding crab under FACTION_CAMPAIGN is mistakenly named "Newborn Goat". Crabs are not goats and this thankfully is an easy renaming fix.

Hi, my characters can't talk to my dismissed goats. I've tried this on two different games. The first one is an old game that started before the mod was installed. The goats are dismissed in an outpost built in the Hidden Forest. Tehy were dismissed from the first squad that I renamed "herd", as well as from a second squad made just for testing this. The second game started after the mod was installed with a goat herder custom start near Bast, with the same results.

What start did you use for the first one? Due to how the dialogue package is added, it will not work when using custom starts.

The compatible starts are:
  • Wanderer
  • The Wandering Trader
  • The Hive Exile
  • The Slaves
  • Rock Bottom
  • Empire Citizen
  • Holy Nation Citizen
  • Guy with a Dog
  • The Freedom Seekers
  • Nobodies
    + UC slaves and Fog Refugees if those unused vanilla squads are implemented in a mod.

Incompatible Vanilla Starts:
  • The Holy Sword
  • The Cannibal Hunters
  • Son of a Captain

To make a compatibility patch, add the "+Pastoralism Animals" dialogue package to the relavent squad as "Animal Dialogue"

You may not be working this mod any longer, but would you consider adding bonedogs to the list of babies received? Breeding bonedogs works, but you receive goats as a result.

Thank you for the update, maybe I am not updating correctly (I thought it would be automatic), but when breeding bonedogs they still show up as goats. I have tried removing the mod and re-enabling it, but maybe I have to unsubscribe remove the mod and then reapply? I don't mind all the goats but my goats population is getting Ba' aaad' :steamthumbsup:

I just had the problem of not being able to talk to my animals and after troubleshooting it turned out that the 'ImmersiveTaming' mod was the cause (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1593914893). I'm not sure if the more popular 'TameBeasties' mod will break this too, but I just thought I'd mention it as a lot of people who are using animal mods are likely to end up with this mod combo.
