Amalgamation: Desolator Primary Specialization

Spec abilities
Squaddie:
  • Desolate Homeland cuts attack damage taken by 1/2/3 when standing in a tile effect, based on your current tech tier. It also prevents mind control/panic/stun/disorientation/unconsciousness while active.
Corporal, sergeant:
  • Forty Below ups damage against chilled foes, up to 3 points when fully frozen.
  • Salt In The Wound ups damage against poisoned/burning/acid'd/bleeding enemies by +1.
  • Corroding Compounds give chemthrower attacks +2 pierce and +1 shred.
Lieutenant:
  • Chemical Deflector grants immunity to the types of the user's thrower AND canister!
Captain:
  • (66%) Viscous Accelerant increases any damage from DoT effects by 1 point for 2 turns.
  • (33%) Close And Personal grants a 30% crit bonus against adjacent foes, dropping 5%/tile.
Major, colonel:
  • Incandescence makes enemies 15% easier to crit for allies. Lasts two turns.
  • Chemical Deflector's squad upgrade also makes it apply to allies in thrower range.
  • Bitterfrost Blood grants cold immunity, and freezes adjacent foes when damaged. Also removes fire/poison/acid/disorient/confuse/panic/stun on taking a hit.
Brigadier:
  • Chemstorm attacks all units around the Desolator with the thrower's element. Uses 3 ammo. Unlike the Salamander, this variant is guaranteed to appear, but appears later.
