It seems when Music Mod Callback is enabled the story boss intros (along with the music) won't play. And the problem is that in MMC "mode" trying to get BossID with undefined global "room" value. It can be fixed if you define "room" value inside "AddMusicCallback" or do like "local trackName = BossIdToName[Game():GetRoom():GetBossID()]". For you to not to search entire main.lua file, it's lines 90,106 and 113.

On Utero, the beginning part of the song (the second half of the song doesn't seem to be affected) gets quieter and quieter until it's silent for as long as I am in a hostile room and goes back to normal volume when the room is cleared. I play without MMC or any other mod that adds or messes with the music. No other issues for me other than that.

I think that the old version Dystension would suit Utero well.

there's also early versions of Innocence Mangled (Depths) and Esc (Arcade), but unlike these other suggestions they don't sound fitting nor they are as good as their final versions

so unless there's something else I'm not aware of out there, the answer is no

there's also someone doing God's work with adding layers to the OST, but I'd wait until he's done with the whole OST before adding that to the mod

edit: it's also very likely that you need their permission to add their tracks to the mod

The early version of Innocence Mangled honestly does just sound like the current version slowed down haha.

The version of the mod that I forked this off off did actually use one layered song, The Thief. I removed it because it (1) didn't fit in and (2) was a pretty crappy split. Mudeth himself has said he'll be creating layers for the OST after the Repentance album comes out, so I'll definitely be adding those then.

1) Oh yeah, it kinda does. Totally no need for that then. Stop Watch for the win :D
2) TBH I haven't ever noticed the layer used by that mod in the Cathedral. Guess it really wasn't that good then.
3) Yeah, it's better to wait for the official layers after the Volume 4 then.

Oh yeah I have another suggestion: the Mines track in the ++ mod was a beepless version, so it is beepless here as well. While I do understand that some people really don't like these beeps, I'd like to have an option to bring them back.

Hmmmm, according to this mod by kittenchilly, there's 2 more unused item room jingles for Antibirth. Dunno how they even sound like so can't tell in which situations they'd fit.

I also think that an option to use the beep version would be nice too.

I've added the beepful version as the default, if I get too many complaints about it I'll consider adding a toggle, but all these alternate toggles aren't really very good for performance and maintainability...

I've noticed an odd bug, it seems like whenever the Angel Room/Devil Room jingle plays after beating a boss, it kinda cuts off the end of the boss defeated jingle.

Do you happen to have the Soundtrack Menu mod on? Using it can in some cases cut off other tracks.

Try experimenting with the config to see if that can fix it, or send me a friend request so I can help you fix it.
