handling radiation

it seems like after running the ship for a while, there is a lot of radiation outside the ship whenever the pumps are on for the reactor. is there a way to fix this, or is it just an inherent bug in the game?

think its intended because radiation increases overtime. Only fix is replacing the reactor every few hours. some ships (not this one) allow this to happen
