What work bench is used to produce light sabers?

Just the Weapon Bench. You have to find the lightsaber blueprints and research how to craft weapons.
They are functionally melee weapons like the rest of the melee weapons.

it may be a me issue but none of the lightsabers i make have any color. they are all a brownish color.
