Didn't see a thread about this yet, but figured it's a good topic of discussion for future updates/off-shoot balance mods.

Pistols largely seem pointless. Their damage has massive variant and they fire at Rifle rate; I really don't see the benefit of using a Pistol over a Carbine or Rifle outside of animations. If there's no niche a Pistol can fill, keep their stats crap but have unlimited ammo as an indirect trade off.

Carbines are fun, but once enemies start having moderate armor they drop off hard. I'd rather Carbines suffer more from accuracy than damage, especially when it burns through ammo as twice the rate of Rifles and almost a third the range. Obviously Rifles should deal more damage, but almost 2x makes Carbines irrelevant imo.
