1) the pistol can fire 10 rounds in 1.5 seconds, leaving you with only 1 second to switch weapons and fire a shot. At that point you’d be better off just shooting the enemy two or three times with your scattergun.
2) due to needing to have 10 pellets hit an enemy within a certain time frame before any real benefits occur, it might be dissatisfying to use and fight against (imagine losing a fight whilst using this weapon because you missed a single bullet that would’ve marked the enemy for death, or fighting against it and losing because you didn’t dodge the 10th shot)
My stat suggestion:
Pistol style secondary
- single shot clip
- reduced reserve ammo
- decreased reload speed
- enemies hit are covered in paint
- a paint covered enemy has a temporarily reduced jump height and suffers from a minor slowdown effect, in addition to their vision being blurred red or blue (similarly to the yellow from jarate)
- killing an enemy covered in paint grants a short term speed boost (similarly to the disciplinary action)
Tagged enemies take mini-crits for 2 (maybe more) seconds. Clip size of 2, Ammo capacity 10.
Deals no actual damage.
-30% damage penalty
LOVE the idea of creating a goo puddle, but full-blown freezing enemies is a big no-no in competitive games. Slowing people down would be handy, however.
Oh! And perhaps your turret would prioritise targets in the goo, even if they'd otherwise be outside its range! That'd make it a neat utility side-grade to the Wrangler.
+25% clip size
+Hitting Enemies with paint bullets deals more damage vunrability to them
-100% Damage penalty
-Self mark for death while active
+15% damage on tag
Cons: -weapon has range 500 hud (but based on pistol)
+70% more spread
Level 25 Weaponized Paint Gun
Pros:
+Paints enemy opposite color confusing team mates for 8 Seconds
+Covers shot enemy's screen in paint for 5 seconds, covering most of the screen
+10% Secondary Damage
Cons:
-No damage
(-) +15% Spread
-25% Slower reload time
-Only 5 Ammo

Level 25 Weaponized Paint Gun
Slot: Secondary
+ On hit: Apply Jarate for 2 to 5 seconds
+ 25% more Damage
- 70% Smaller Clip size
- No random crits
Secondary Weapon
Pros:
-On hit, marks enemy in a bright paint that appears on cloaked spies and outlines enemies for you and your teammates. Lasts for 8 seconds.
Cons:
-Fire a single projectile that is affected by gravity
-Enemies can remove the paint by jumping into water
-Does no damage
-on hit:mark enemy with bright paint, outlining cloaked spys and marking enemy for death
-applies slowing effect
cons
-one shot in clip
-40% less damage to buildings
-shoots a projectile not affected by damage ramp-up
