the Pharaoh's curse(debuff)

if I get too far down anywhere in the desert i get pharaoh's curse, almost instantly killing me
any idea why

before you unlock the pyramid, going to close to it underground kills you to prevent people from breaking in before its intended point

This is a bug that has been fixed in the latest update. It should not kill you outside of the pyramid.
