SuperStates Mod

Making The US into a HRE type system
This is just a suggestion that I thought would be interesting maybe make a sub mod for this which makes the US into an HRE where D.C. is always the ruling emporer (unless war is declared to size power), However states can gain political influence (States choose their party i.e. The Democrat,Republican,Libertarian,or Constitutionalist Parties). Which in turn gives them the option to enact certain laws in favor of their parties views. the way I would propose you do this is by having relations=Influence on the emporer (influence being something you'd mod in) which ever party overall gains the most influence gains a modifier that allows them choose which laws become federal for example if the Republicans(Yes I know that at the time it was the democrats) gain influence they can reinstitute slavery which gives all republican states +20% production effiecency and worse relations over time with nations without the republican party in power. for choosing parties you could make the States Religion which allows you to choose a "diety"(party) if your interested i could go more into depth I think this would be an amzing add on to this mod it could add so much too it. (Personally I cant mod and since you guys are very responsive to the community you've created I thought you guys might do this if it caught enough attention).

It's been something that's been discussed for quite some time, however there's lots of things I have to do to get it to work, particularly I have to rework the European and North American continents in the files as the HRE is hard coded to the European Continent and the mechanics are something I haven't spent time on learning. I know it's possible for an HRE emperor to be outside of Europe but not the princes that make up the HRE.

Adding new things to the game like influence is something I haven't learned at all, but there is a way from what I can tell using variables that can be added, I just haven't figured out how they work exactly to use them.

@KeoniPhoenix you could try to make it so only certain nations could gain influence and which ever religion that nation bleongs to (i.e. Democrat,Republican, etc.) that religion would undergo an event that gave them a (Insert #of years) of Influence in the white house which would then enable certain decisions. for the religous piece you could make the penalties for "Converting" less severe maybe lose the stability effects and just have immediate rebellions that subside after five or so years. you could also make a Papal State (District of Colombia) that would run on the states religion and for whichever nation that is in control (Has the most political clot) the mod would decipher which diety is selected and then award all nations with that diety selected the option to enact certain laws for themselves or try to make a federal law system which nations have the option to enforce the laws within their borders. To ensure that one party doesnt just run the show the entire game you should add in a support mechanic in which that parties influence on D.C. will deteriorate over time if it becomes too radical (Enacts too many federal laws too quickly). Maybe add certain events where Disasters such as an economic crash or high crime make it so once thought radical laws can be enacted very quickly without affecting the support by as much as it would in normal times.
If your actually considering working on this in you spare time I could try to help out by finding info on all the political parties out there and im sure others in the community would to

@KeoniPhoenix I actually took a mobile apps course and after looking at the Wiki I think I could try to make events/decisions for such a mod if you'd want.

You're free to do so. It's going to require lots of work.

I recommend the The Validator and Clausewitz Scenario Editor from the Paradox Plaza forums and Notepad ++ as everything is text based for the most part.

Sign up for an account on Paradox Plaza and input your key that was generated for you in Steam, it will work then as the modding forum is for people who have paid for the game.
