Common bugs and some raw solutions
Hi guys, I've noticed there are people struggling with this mod because they try to run it in old saves, or the explosion pictures freeze around the map when they use the railgun and so on. I guess the mod creator is not longer supporting/updating the mod. So, I would like to show you how to fix some of these issues based on my experience. Let's remark I'm not a mod designer, and not even have a small idea how to create a mod. Also, this was made only in single player games and I do not take responsability for any malfunction in-game.

Black Void Bug:

This happens to people trying to include the mod in their current games and want to use the inside compartment. Thus, their characters get stuck in the void since there is no map to go.

1) Create a new game including the Armored MH MKII mod (get back to the main menu and rename the new game afterwards, if you want to). Let's rename it as "Test".

2) Go to "c:\users\yourUsername\zomboid\saves" then look up for the new game in either Sandbox/Apocalypse/survival (depends on the initial config you used).

3) Open the "Test" folder and look up for the files related to "map_45XX_45XX.bin", i.e: map_4500_4500.bin or map_4509_4509.bin. These coordinates are unique for this mod so you cannot get lost. Copy-paste these files in your current game folder.

4)Also, you can search for the "map_ver.bin" file and copy-paste it in your current game folder, but this will delete deactivate any other map that was not in the "Test" game. Otherwise simply modify this file in your current game by adding " M H _ M K I I " after your last map. Note that should be in the same format as the other maps so the game will detect the mod map.

5) Reload LUA, then you will see the mod in the maps section. Therefore, you character will appear inside the compartment.

The truck will move like a turtle or not move at all:

This happens because of the weight penalty in your vehicle. This means more weight carrying in the load truck/seats will eventually affect the speed modifier, like in real life. I fixed this problem by increasing the hp from 1500 to 2000.

1) Close the game.

2) Go to "c:\programfiles(x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2850098970\mods\ArmoredMHMKII\media\scripts\vehicles", then open "MH_MKII_corescript" and rewrite "engineForce = 15000" to "engineForce = 20000". Save the file and open the game.

I did actually test an empty truck with both original and modified engine and I could barely notice a difference in the acceleration.

You are a gentleman Sir. I have a slightly different issue though in that I started a game with the original MkII mod installed. Then at some point like a scrub I also added in 'MKII improved' just by enabling it in the load menu as well. Now I can't install the Front Shovel. If I turn 'MkII Improved' Off when I spawn inside the vehicle the interior has no textures and I can't walk up stairs. Any idea on how to fix this?

Unfortunaley, I've never used the "MKII improved" mod since I was comfortable enough with the original one. Although, both mods may generate conflict by using the same chunk of map. In this case, when you turn off the "improved" mod you also will need to copy-paste a back-up of the map.bin files just like the black void bug. Also, if you are able to move at least on a tile, there is chance you can teleport your character to a known zone by using the "-debug" mode. Obviously, I am assuming you are no longer going to use the improved mod. I hope this may be a solution for you.
