Another idea would be to integrate a bit of the Tailoring skill into the mod - perhaps someone who has high enough Tailoring can cobble makeshift Moccasins or sandals, and even make repairs/improvements to the footwear they find.
Overall, you've definitely made a mod worth being kept alive in the community, and it has a permanent place in my multiplayer server with friends.
Maybe I can ask him in the future.
I'm going to add moccasins to v3.0, the tailoring idea might be used in the future.
Thank you
As you can see with 3.0's attempt at making shoes that doesnt goes above the ankles, it's impossible. Zomboid characters have huge ugly feet, it's impossible to make a model around them without masking them off completely.
Advanced GEAR adds that, it's called assault boots. The mod currently has a simple model compatibility patch for them.

True, problem with advanced gear is that it conflicts with various other mods; and the assault boots hold a knife; rather than a handgun, I'd love to see a set of camo boots with an actual holster to hold a revolver or handgun (would be a great concealed carry option for MP). Just an idea though.
Thanks for suggesting GEAR, I currently use it and enjoy it; but have to be picky with mods due to it being in my load order, same reason I ditched Snakes Mod Pack; it conflicted with damn near every major mod. But this mod is based on one specific topic and small in size, rather than covering a wide range of things and being massive.
