Question about machines/beggars
while i've figured out what most of the ones FF adds do, there's two in specific that i don't get at all(and can't find any information on). what does the bum in the fortune telling machine and the blacksmith guy do?

i know the former can sometimes reveal secret rooms on the map and the cards have to do *something*, but most of the time he just looks at it until interacted with again(which just makes him bring up a different card). he used the high priestess on me once for some reason???

as for the later, i can't understand him at all. if i interact with him he takes whatever trinket i have, and i can tell he's supposed to do something with it, but i have no idea what that is or how to get him to do his job

I think when the telling machine just waves a card in front of you is the equivalent of getting a fortune from the fortune machine, it does nothing apart from some visuals. Sometimes he does something with the cards and I think it can give you a card effect.

Regarding the Blacksmith he asks for 2 trinkets which then he uses them to make a new one, no clue if there's a mechanic for that new trinket to be better than the ones you gave, but most of the time I get pretty decent ones.

thank you! i got enough coins to mess around with the fortune teller guy and it also looks like if he activates any of the teleport cards, it'll teleport you to the corresponding room(so you could *technically* use him to get into, say, the treasure room when you have no keys).
