Road Map
This thread details all the mod changes since inception, for the record of how this mod evolves.

------ 2022 - 2023 -------

Upgrade Path Implementations (All Completed):
1. Bretonnia upgrade path.
2. All order factions upgrade path.
3. Neutral and evil factions upgrade path.
4. Adjusted all rank requirements in a consistent manner.
5. Refined all paths in 2.2 update: additional upgrade options, re-arrange UI, lowered rank requirement for weapon swapping and upgrade in tier-1.


UI rework (All Completed):
1. Modified twui file to enable new UI tabs for each race.
2. Implemented race-specific UI buttons.
3. Unique background images for all races using CA wallpapers.
4. Enlarged the UI panel to fit x3 more units than original.
5. Two empty UI category (MOD1 and MOD2) that can fit 150 units for any mod.


Submods & Compatible Mods:
1. Bretonnia Immersive Upgrade submod.
2. Allied and Ogre upgrade option via submod.
3. Made Lily Bretonnia mod compatible.
4. True Elites submod.
5. RoR submod made by yuudachi.
6. SFO and radious submods.

1. UI updated again to include more tabs for upcoming mod compilation submod.

In work:
2. Single extension mod to support popular race mods: OVN, TEB, etc.
3. Adjust UI sidebar to sliders?

will you do this for avialable units or custom units? Ex: Chaos gaint upgrades to khorne gaint ect.... Either way thank you for your hard work!

Regarding adjusting the rank requirement, two main ways come to mind.

The most obvious and simple would be to put the condition that in the faction there is at least one recruitment building of the unit to which you want to upgrade. For example, to upgrade to Cold One Knights you must have at least one Dread Manse built somewhere, similar to how some High Elf technologies work that require you to have at least a certain building to research it.

Another way is to make it similar to how it works in Warriors of Chaos, make for example 2 generic technologies for all factions that allow you to upgrade to tier 2 and tier 3 units. Here the difficulty would be to add these two technologies to the technology tree of each faction in a balanced way.

There is also the option of mixing both ideas, putting technologies, either generic by tier or specific to each unit, that require having certain unit recruitment buildings to be researched.

I'm not an expert in making mods, but I hope that these ideas will at least be of some help.

How do you like the idea of adding the requirement for a military building to upgrade a unit.
For example:
To upgrade an unshielded clanrat to a shielded clanrat you need: 3 veterancy, some money and t-2 barracks in your army region.
And to upgrade a clanrat with a shield to stormvermin, you need: 9 veterancy, a lot of money and t-3 barracks in the region of your army.

Will you consider making a submod for this to go along with the Heroes of the Skaven Clan mod? There should be a few skavenslaves variants that the mod introduces though I could be mistaken.

Love the mod overall, but found the skaven upgrade list to be pretty weird, with many units just not having options or upgrade paths. Gonna throw down what I suggest for a skaven upgrade path (Although there is plenty of room for shuffling this stuff around):

skavenslaves > clanrats > clanrats(Shield) > stormvermin

Clanrats > Night runners / Plague monks / Warp grinders

Night runners > gutter runners > Death runners / Triads

Plague Monks > Censer bearers / Plagueclaw?

Warp grinders > warpfire throwers > poison wind > Death globe / poison mortar

Warp grinders > ratling guns > jezzails

Warp grinders > Plagueclaw catapult / doomflayers > warp lighting cannon / Doomwheel


Wolf rats > giant rats > hell pit abomination

Rat ogres > mutant rat ogres

Hello, @BagHolder. Thanks a lot for your mod. For the Vampire Counts, would you please consider adding an upgrade path Vargheist > Varghulf? and Skeleton Warrior > Grave Guard?

非常好的模组,感谢大佬的无私奉献。希望UI调整的时候把整个UI往下拉一点。现在4K分辨率下200%缩放会导致上面部分挺多看不见,但其实UI的下半部分基本是空的。
shouldnt clan rats be able to be upgraded to stormvermin?
