Then Christianity went underground, quite literally in underground caves. Was very interesting, especially the Christian artifacts that they kept.
If you want to add Religion, I would seriously look into this. Id also look into Japanese mythology and renowned heroes and legends. Even the Shinto/Buddhist Gods are worth looking in to.
I to know of the historical occurances of Christianity in the era. I'm treating religion as it's treated in Shogun 2, the choice you make will effect you the whole time, from when you start to when you eventually become shogun, your religion will have a heavy say in what companions, other vassals/Daimyos think of you and even how towns run under your rule. I will at least say this, Christianity will be a form of "Hard Mode" if you will, there will only be a few clans on Kyushu which follow it and alot of Japan will dislike you (and Ikko Ikki will despise you), it'll be much more costly and time consuming to try and convert the whole of Japan to the religion, but it's pay off is one which is quite worth it if you can pull it off.
Samurai don't usually wear armour around villages and civil places, only in battle, so it would be nice to see some fancy kimonos that were usually wore by the lords/daimyos around their villages/castles. Also, animations, would be really nice to be able to sit down like a proper samurai.
More historical accurate face models, hair, beards, get rid of the western american looks and faces, only japanese stuff would be lovely aswell.
Be able to start as a clan leader from the get go, create your own clan name, choose a variety of custom banners, that would actually contain the logos to appear on your kimonos and armour, the kimonos usually had a logo on the back and on the sleeves, they were really proud of their clan name.
If you want I can go on and on with ideas, I got tons. Also a big fan of the samurai culture.
I will note and go on record saying I have little to no intention of allowing a player to "start with a clan", I never personally liked the feature and I think it ruins a lot of character development/fun.
Want you to Play an Merchant or Soldier from the Netherlands, a Priest from Portugal? so you need an Western Look alike Face.
Or Son of Terumune Date, the Famouse Masamune Date?
It would be also cool when the Time ingame is faster so you can literally start as an Teenager and become older.
Like Start as Teenager, Son of Nobuhide Oda, Nobunaga Oda and become older and become the Leader of the Oda Clan. Included with all Difficulties Oda Nobunaga had back in time when he became the Leader of his Clan.
This idea *unfortunately* fell through, although I did get support from the original mod author in terms of source code and input for ideas, anyone I went to for coding help left me in the lurch or flat out weren't interested. I tried scoping many forums with no real luck. I had many good and amazing ideas even the original mod author was interested by and greatly intrigued by, even the creators of the Prophecy of Pendor mod (who I spoke to asking for advice) were greatly interested and willing to give me hints and pointers to certain ideas I did originally have to help me. But I am an ideas man and a writer, not a coder and this was the pin in the side. My final word is essentially if someone or a group of people who have coding experience for this game wish to come to me and help me I have the connections and everything to help, as well as ideas. But while noone has come to me and this is basically stagnating I will be keeping hold of the files in the hope someone will come forward. This becoming less likely with Bannerlord's probable release this year.
And yes Muck, I fully agree. I spent a lot of time speaking to mod authors for advice, pointers and input and generally the response was "I'll give you pointers to any coders you get, but will not code with you", Right now everyone wants to work on their own projects which is perfectly fine and understandable, but ultimately upsetting when it comes to gems like this.
>> If you do add me for this reason **PLEASE** say so on this thread so I'm not like "Lmao random add? Deleted."
Releasing whatever code I "had created" would require me to also post out his base code within and around my code, otherwise it's totally useless to anyone who tries to mod it. It's not as straight forward as say, releasing a recipe for a cake recipe, coding is extremely finicky and not having the base material for the rest of the code to rely on, even one single digit out of place, can entirely ruin it and make the code useless and unreliable. This might sound like me ranting at you but I am not, I do unfortunately have a lot of coding friends and some experience myself, just not when it comes to game modding (and those friends with the experience either have their own projects or were simply not interested in this).
What I meant was, whatever you have gathered, even a simple mind-map on paint for example - to be placed on the Nexus and sharing whatever you have for others to use down the line.
I have been reading your posts, but I assumed that you had actually done some work...
