There's a lot going on under-the-hood in Crasher - if you run into something that doesn't seem to be working right, please let us know! Please include steps taken to recreate the issue.

Current bugs we're working on, and should have fixed for rc2 soon:

- Giants that drop the flag while Ubercharged aren't killed
- Automove taunts can be used to circumvent Giant move speed penalty
- Teleporters can be built over the flag spawn, trapping Giants
- Killbinding soon after picking up the flag doesn't cancel the ascend sequence, leading to visual issues with the laser

Hi, I found a bug.
After capturing the intel for the final 3rd time as a giant, and the round ended, and a new round has begun, I regained all the health from the giant form as overhea when I respawned. I played as Demo, and had over 2000 Hp overheal in normal form. And I used the Loose Cannon, and Tide Turned.

All of the above issues (barring Disco Monke's, which we have been unable to replicate so far) have been fixed in rc2.

If a giant goes into the swim state from the water down there it instantly explodes.

Console is also reporting missing mp3 sound errors when capping or picking up the barrel.

Minor visual glitch:

When i tested to pull up the Deadringer as the flag carrier the overlay for the cloak meter was floating over the model.

It looks normal if it was already pulled up before picking up the flag.

Gameplay glitch/Softlock:

If you teleport back to spawn with Eureka Effect as the giant, you get stuck in spawn as you remain giant. (and sometimes teleported me to enemy spawn!)

Other than that i love the idea. Keep up the amazing work.

Huh, I didn't think you could Eureka Effect with a flag, interesting.
We'll figure something out for that, but I imagine it will just count as a flag drop.

i don't think there's any way to intercept the teleport, but we can at least kill giants who do teleport back to spawns lol. as for the dead ringer thing, that's probably something to do with how player model scale works - nothing we can touch, unfortunately.

Eureka Effect thing was a problem with the way flag drops were detected (the spawns weren't checked), it'll be fixed in the next version.

issues with giants dying in specific locations at mid and not being killed when using the eureka effect's teleport to return to spawn have been fixed in rc3.

rc5 has been released, fixing a few issues with lingering giant effects after making a winning capture. we think this is the issue Disco Monke reported.

Possibly due to the changes to point_hurt and Ubercharge on October 12, 2022 Patch and October 13, 2022 Patch, dropping the Intelligence once you are Ubered after grabbing the barrel (the temporary uber that stays for a few seconds) will let you stay as a giant without the barrel.

This allows other players to become giant, and there can be more than one giant in the team. However, anyone who becomes a giant after someone does this bug will remain their default health (Heavy will still be at 300HP while giant, and have no crits).

Though it may be possible that the third glitched giant will have correct health and crits. Then 5th, 7th, and so on, unsure on that one.

Not sure if that was the method of doing it prior to the October 11, 2022 Patch, but I just wanted to point it out. This cause a multitude of glitches since you don't have the Intel (you can use eureka effect's teleport, disguise, be invisible, etc.), plus it's very unfair to the next players becoming giant and not getting health boost neither crits.

If there's a glitched non-barrel giant on one team, and someone else from the other team tries to do the same, both giants will die at the same time.

Note: I did that on the latest TF2 patch (October 13, 2022), and I was playtesting / bugtesting on a community server with someone else the last couple hours. This bug is easily replicable despite being fixed in rc2.

Note 2: I don't think there were any community-server plugins doing this, the server was actually pretty new (I joined when the owner made 10 minutes ago). I'm also pretty sure the map being used on the server was the one in TF2, ctf_crasher, and not any prior version.

(What I did here was dying with the jumper equipped close to the barrel, do the glitch, then re-grab via the weapon grab mechanic by pressing the action slot key. Normally, when you do that without the non-barrel bug, you immediately die, possibly because it drops the flag if you do that in normal CTF, but I never tried).
(Though, due to the nerf of push force, these two weapons are basically useless and you can't rocket/sticky jump).

Stuck at spawn as a giant by using Eureka and a multitude of setups to perform this:

(This might be able to do even if this giant bug gets fixed. For it to work, you have to build a tele exit on spawn very close to the spawn door. Then, make sure to stand on top of it, and eureka effect to the exit. This will make you get stuck. Then, eureka effect to spawn and it should work. Additionally, if you change loadouts or classes, you keep 2500 HP as an overheal that decays overtime).

(Since they don't hold the barrel anymore, you can't cap a point. Also wanted to point out that it seems that speed penalty is not applied when doing this glitch, from what I remember, this might be related due to the speed penalty being associated to "holding the barrel", and since you stop holding it with this bug, you don't get a speed penalty).
