The Giant blaster should take longer to fire. Right now it comes out way too fast, and the effects look wonky in the mouth. I was thinking that instead of having it appear, shoot then disappear, it appears and follows you like the hands do, firing when you shoot, disappearing by repeating the summon bind.
Now, onto true suggestions.
First, I would add small black trails to the dark darts in Base. They're really hard to see and my friends hate it when I use them because they're tiny, hard to see projectiles that do huge damage. (They do big damage because they do physics prop damage)
Determination should be a primary damage trait, so perhaps slow the fire rate a bit but increase the damage.
A new effect for determination could be that when the lasers hit a surface, it creates a red explosion.
Justice doesn't need a lot of changes, it's mostly fine the way it is. Perhaps damage type changed to bullet?
Integrity could move faster, but with less aggressive homing.
Bravery could be louder, and have more delay between summoning and explosion so people can escape it. Right now it's pretty hard to escape from.
Kindness is actually very underpowered right now. The shield should be considerably stronger, and perhaps visually crack to indicate how close it is to breaking. (It will repair itself over time) The right click should be physical to trap enemies inside. They have to break the shield to escape or take lots of damage/die.
Perseverance could counter more types of projectiles like bullets and stuff. If that's too hard to code, that's fine. It's pretty good the way it is.
Patience could have much longer reach, and hold onto opponents for a lot longer. To get you to let go, they need to damage you a certain amount.
You could use 2 abilities at once by selecting the ability for each hand. Using keybinds, you can control the stance the hands take. Forward makes one slam to the closest entity to where you're looking. Back makes them take a guard stance that blocks the damage you take, but makes you unable to attack. The Blaster will have a rework too.
Base Duality could just be the hands doing slams and stuff. The idea is that you can press certain keys to have the hands attack differently or protect you. The slams could replace the lasers they do right now.
Determination- Pretty much the same, except slow rate of fire, but very high damage, doing upwards of 90. The lasers are bigger and have wider explosions (see above) with more damage.
Kindness- Primary moves a hand in front of you and blocks incoming damage with a green blockade. Secondary traps the enemy in a green orb, rendering them open to attacks. (players can break out of them, they have 500 HP.) ALT heals you faster, and CTRL+ Left places an orb around yourself. Breaks at 500 DMG too.
Justice- Primary fires Justice Pellets like the regular Swep, but the hand automatically targets the NPC/Player closest to crosshair. Both hands can use this ability. Right Does a shotgun shot with a delay. (right now, there's no delay, and little spread) Left+ALT makes one of the hands fly behind the enemy, and fire to surprise them. After shooting for 3 seconds or killing it comes back.
Bravery- Summons up to 5 orbs per hand. Right click makes them go off. The explosions are bigger and do more dmg. Left-ALT summons max number of orbs at once.
Integrity- Summons a big saw that bounces off surfaces and deals heavy damage to what it happens to hit. Right redirects the saw toward your crosshair. Left-ALT summons 2 per hand. Patience can combo with the saw, and make them home in.
Patience- Can bind enemies and deals a small DoT. Right throws the enemy. Hitting a wall will deal more dmg. Left-Alt summons a bed of tendrils at their feet, making them unable to move. Shoot them to release. If you manage to snag a saw, it will work like it does currently, homing in on enemies. Ropes extend very fast.
Perserverance- never saw this being used, so i'll make one up. Primary shoots larger purple lasers, but instead of dealing high damage, they deal Damage over Time. Right click will cause one hand to move in front of you and glow purple. Any damage it takes during this interval will cause it to build up a charge. The next time you shoot with left click, the next laser will be very empowered.
Giant Blaster- E+ Right Click will summon the blaster, and it will follow you like the hands do. To get it to fire, it will automatically do so as you attack, shooting once every few seconds, with a cool down in between.
Duality Hands can be damaged, and broken. Breaking them disables them for about 1 minute before you can summon them again.
The GT sweps never had true lasers due to "balance" reasons. I understand and i think he planned projectiles with damaging trails like Tron
I was able to make a prototype laser thing using Pac3, and I think something similar might work here.
Basically, what I did was create a line of invisible projectiles with large colored particles to simulate the appearance of a laser. It looks weird to turn it but I have a fix.
The line of particles follows an already set path like an invisible rope, so that when you turn, the "laser" also turns instead of looking weird. It simply goes down this "rope" instead of like normal projectiles. This combines the best of both worlds: Laser like projectiles, but they don't reach their destination immediately
Right click remains the same for now, but it would be really cool if it could counter other things like bullets or other projectiles like antlion worker spit
Left click doesn't damage the same way as it used to. Instead it creates a purple spike when it collides, stabbing the opponent like sans/papyrus bones.
ALT performs a quick stab at melee range.
SHIFT + ALT draws along walls and other surfaces like ground bones, creating arrays of glowing purple spikes. Instead of dealing damage over time, instead they do massive damage just once, and skewer them to the spikes until they disappear.
Left click could behave like normal
Right click (if you currently have nothing snagged in a rope) could behave exactly like the gravity gun but with a blue rope visual when something is grabbed.
Alt summons a single hand where you are currently looking. After a moment it will fire out strings from the fingers (or the hand hole) and bind said enemy in place. If you right click while said enemy is caught (a sound will play when something is trapped) it will deal damage to them until they either die or are freed. Something else has to destroy the ropes or possibly the hand in order to free them. (Note that this will only happen if you didn't snag something already with left click)
Duality can work similar, just stronger. Snagged entities are moved more easily because obviously the rope is more powerful and crushing with right click could do lots more damage and even gib enemies if possible.
Instead of working like normal gravity gun, perhaps the right click could work like the super one found in HL2 and Ep1? Might be too overpowered though. I don't think that one works on players anyway
