Surface Painter Compatibility Update?
Any idea when the updated Surface Painter mod will be released? Using that for my city in conjunction with the old version of this mod and I really need both to be working together.

Yeah, I admit that is keeping me very busy right now, but Surface Painter debugging will resume as soon as I can draw breath :)

Take your time. Your health and personal needs should come first.

I will just stop playing for a few days until everything is sorted out. Things seem to be a bit chaotic right now with the new patch release anyway, so I will wait until all of the mods I use are updated before I dive back into this game.

A sensible approach, but don't also neglect the option of playing vanilla for a few days as well, to really check out the new game.

The unmodded game has come a long way with these latest updates.

A new version of Surface Painter, so people without 81 tiles can also use it.

It works only within the 25 tiles outside them its stop. No problem if you stay within those tiles.

Update: I think I've finally solved the last issue. Have passed it on to my testers for confirmation.

Thanks for all your hard work to help people to be able to play the game. i had to reorganize my mod collection to fix my game. hopefully the new surface painter will fix my rendering issue and my fps drops. Algernon, you're like a one man band and I see you are very busy. I hope you don't mind one question about Surface Painter that's been bugging me a long time. When I use surface painter next to most streets, unless the area I use is between 2 already-in-use areas, Surface Painter takes a bite out of the sidewalk. Is there any way to make Surface Painter more compatible with the streets?

No, that's just the way the game's surface rendering works, unfortunately.
