I currently don't know anything about attaching stuff to other things like belts and bags...or at least, aligning attachments to belts and bags anyway.

I managed to line up stuff sorta well with the characters hands when drinking, filling and pouring, but when attached the belts and bags? No clue.

So, I've added an ItemTweaker .lua thing that should automatically detect if you have Better Sorting and Noirs Attachments / Authentic Z installed and then apply some changes to the item entries allowing them to be categorised and attached as necessary.

I don't use attachments or better sorting myself so the testing is minimal, so if you notice it not working or any issues, please let me know!

Sup? I'm using SMUI and the items don't line up correctly on the webbings slots. They look like they're at an angle. Nothing gamebreaking, but I figured I'd let you know.

Yeah, unfortunately I have no idea how to solve that issue. I think the attached objects use the same orientation as equipped objects, so lining up a canteen or a bottle correctly in the characters hands (seen when drinking, filling and pouring) is going to cause a conflict with the positioning of the bottle when attached to things.

That's a shame. Though, I believe Canteens from AuthenticZ show up properly both in hand and on webbing slots, so maybe that's worth looking into? Til then I'll stick with gym bottles because my ocd is just that picky.

I'm currently working on another mod at the moment but when I finish with that I'll check out Authentic Z again and ask for some help about it, I'm new to modding so there's a lot of stuff I don't know, there might be some code or something that allows you to line up objects much better than I currently know, it sounds like it's possible then if Authentic Z has them all lined up perfectly.

I'll look into it eventually. For now, sorry it looks terrible :steamsad:

It looks fine, no worries! I won't die because of a rotated backpack attachment. I'm also new to modding, but I've never touched 3d modelling, I'm more experienced in the coding side of things.

Love this mod! Thanks for the work! Any chance you'd consider making the medicine craftable?

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it :winter2019happysnowman:

Hmm, not sure. It's meant to be a rare pre-apocalypse manufactured medicine, not even sure what kind of stuff that would be made out of lol. Maybe at some point I can add a home made version that's slightly weaker and made out of foraged stuff though, using your First Aid skill.

For now you can just chug herbal tea though :served:

Hmm you mention a good point i didn't consider. What if at extremly high first aid you can convert painkillers and antibiotics into a weakened form of that medicine?

Most common painkillers like Tylenol is just acetaminophen helps with fevers and colds.
Antibiotics would help treat against bacterial sickness (non viral)

So maybe that can work? IDK just food for thought
Greb  [developer] 8 Nov, 2022 @ 11:46am
Maybe. I've wanted a mod for a while that gives First Aid more of a reason to exist, letting you produce herbal / botanical versions of the medicines we have in game already. If I did make something like that it'd be a separate mod to this one I think, since this one is just about bottles of all shapes and sizes etc.

It would be good though.

That's Fair. Something to revamp the First aid skill would be nice, but I can't imagine what else could be done except high skills lets you craft a few items like cold/fever reducer. Immersive medicine exists but i think the author is no longer doing any updates for it. I think your mod is the only thing i've found after browsing through the workshop that actually has something to reduce common cold. Just food for thought.

I have to admit, I don't even know if it works lol, which might be why you've not seen it on any other mods? I found some "flu reduction" item entry in the code that was found on common mallow, so I added it to the medicine but I have no idea if it's just redundant code or something. That's why I gave it pain reduction as well, just to make sure it does something, at least.

I got either a model or texture bug where the gym bottle is transparent when placed in the world and the texture is checkered. I'm playing on a steam deck, so I got mine running on linux. I tried using proton and that fixed the bug, but the load times there is horrid. So it's either just a small visual bug or long loading times
Greb  [developer] 22 Nov, 2022 @ 3:30am
Hmm, I checked it in game and it seems to work fine on my end, and I checked the model in Blender and it has correct normals, so I'm not sure what is happening. I guess maybe the texture or model failed to load correctly for some reason, or some other mod is causing conflict with it?
