Initial impressions of overall ideas
I left a comment about disliking hiding the card piles already so I'll move on from that.

Fated cards being a "just a few per deck and hopefully only 1 per turn" is a cool idea, but starting with one in the starting deck makes the whole idea of adding more feel not great, since you don't want multiple to show up per turn. I do appreciate that it seems like most of the Fated cards still do "most" of their effect if they don't get the Fated off.

Numerology is really cool. Just wanted to say that.

The biggest idea of acquiring a resource that lets you see the top of your draw pile and giving you ways to interact with it is superb. Or at least it feels superb so far. Letting the player mitigate luck makes an earned victory feel even more deserved than usual.

The number-balance on the cards seems fine so far.

Just wanted to say thanks for the well-written discussion here. I'm glad you're finding some fun with the character. For Fated, I wanted every turn to be a decision point -- you only get one, so make it count. Also, there is a rare power that lets Fated trigger an additional time, so stacking those with lots of Fated can get really out of hand in a good way!
