BSMOD Yakuza Killmoves

Hear me out.
It really must be a pain in the ass for every killmove creators out there to endure the amount of stupid incompetent little childs in their comments

Now im no BSMod creator nor anything related on creating stuff for Gmod, so i can't say that i relate with them but holy hell, even a nobody with common sense can feel the pain the creators have to put up with, questions like, "iT DoEsN'T WoRk" or "HOW TO USE KILLMOVES:steamsad:" things like this takes time, alot.

So i decided to waste my precious time with this discussion thread so i can show my sympathy with the BSMod creators out there, and also give you people some enlightenment.

Instructions on how to killmove an NPC

So, let's start off with the basics, how do you perform an killmove on a innocent NPC?

Step 1: First things first. You gotta have to bind your killmove key on your keyboard.
And to do that you have to boot up Gmod and start your game. (very simple, very easy yes?)

Step 2: And after you done with step 1 (theres no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way you wouldn't manage to get pass step 1 right??), you are going to open your game console ( ' by default) and then type this: bind any key bsmod_killmove

Hooray! You have binded your killmove key!! Congrats!!!

Off to Step 3:

So after you have your killmove bind, you happily spawn your first victim on the map to brutally kill!
But oh! Whats that? It seems that im not performing an killmove at all!!!

Oh little Jimmy... to be able to killmove it, you need to deal enough damage to the NPC until it gets stunned and covered by blue outlines around em. (typically when they are about to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die.)

Then after that, you can now... do a killmove!
Watch that bastard fly high in the sky!

Congratulations you now know how to do an killmove.~

Oh and also, to be able to killmove it without having to deal dmg, just go to the admin settings and check Killmove Anytime box.

Now off to the point of this thread.

Yakuza Killmoves

These ports are absolutely marvelous, doing also a good job on porting them with the sounds effects straight from the game!
Well i can't say the same with Essence of Torment. But other than that, this is just another good killmove addon that you will have fun with. (specially when killing Genshin Impact amimes with Essence of Choke-Out.)

Now to clear some things off about why isn't it working, is quite simple really i hope.

The thing is, the default killmoves have higher priority over other custom killmoves, in other words, they are more likely to be picked more than your other custom killmoves, depending on their chance values.

With this addon specifically, the killmoves seems to have a small chance value
making it a little hard to trigger them, but with the simple solution that is turning off the default killmoves works perfectly, though it will take you more clicks to actually trigger them other than doing it the moment you pressed your killmove key.

It's not like it will be hard to code it right big guy?

To be frank, i would add a chance slider, but i barely have any of a idea of what im doing with lua rn.

Ignore those kids, I have like 4 Custom Kill moves and I still trigger yours sometimes :)

The mod literally just doesn't work and you've decided to stay ignorant. I think I've learnt when a mod doesn't work or not in my 846 hours of Gmod.

Sorry pal, but you can clearly see that nobody else in here is having the same issue as you.
So if you ask me who's the one being ignorant here, i think it's you in the end.
Also lol big talk coming from someone with 800 hours.

Actually, I did have the same issue as that guy. I did some digging and found this has conflicts with several other killmove packs due to overlapping triggers.

So, it seems for once, I'm not the clown in this situation. That'd be you, good sir.

programming and modding is not easy bro...
heck, i have no idea how to mod this game too, altough step by step, something comes out of the oven :)

I can't seem to make it work either, I installed the required stuff and removed all of my other killmoves and it still doesn't work, shame cuz it looked dope but it is probably in conflict with one of my other mods.
Works fine, what doesn't work is it wanting to play more than 3 of the killmoves. I don't know the moves names but the one where you spin someone is very buggy, animation seems fine but for some reason it stutters around a bunch.
The other 2 that play are fine but otherwise It has never played any of the other many that are on this mod for some reason... really wanting to do the Essence of 88 but no luck.

that's true, it's not a bad killmove, it just happends too often and takes priority over other killmoves...
is it possible to make yourself spawn a little higher than the ground when finishing a killmove? i keep getting stuck in the ground
