I have am using a custom file following (exactly) the listed steps on the main mod page, up to and including clicking the bottom-right button in the main menu.
However in my hosted multiplayer game I can generate but not wear cosmetic/hidden clothing items. When I try, I see a progress bar but nothing is equipped. I have tried with vanilla and an assortment of modded clothing.
Just to be sure, I carefully followed all the steps to regenerate the custom file again today with the same results.

I seem to be encountering an issue with jackets specifically, where wearing a cosmetic jacket causes my backpack to bug out and become partially invisible. I first noticed the issue with the Iron Rodent Leather Jacket, but it seems to extend to other jackets as well. Cosmetic shirts work fine. Tested with both the hiking bag, big hiking bag, and military bags.
Same issue with me, running on Spongie's Open Jackets.

I assume this is a mod issue, as me and the quoted guy are getting the same issue across multiple modpacks.
Fortunately, I can hide the backpack, but would be nice to fix :)
A workaround came out just a few days after I made that post! Hide the backpack, and apply the backpack as a cosmetic item and it works fine :)
