guide on how to make this a replacement (works with almost anything, as long as you know the file name of it.)
go to the steam folder (search steam using your computer's search bar, right click and click open file location) and go to this place (Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\4000).
you need to find the workshop id of the addon, The id will be in the workshop url for the specific addon (in this case is 2871599109).
go in to the folder and extract the mod via gmad (it's in Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin) and go to the models and hybrid folder, and rename the stuff in it
EDIT: you have to move the content (not the playermodels) inside the hybrid folder back to the models folder
(combine_super_soldier = overwatch_elite (combine elites)
combine_soldier = overwatch_soldier (combine soldier) (shotgunners are just reskins)
Combine_Soldier_prisonguard = overwatch_guard (prison guards)).
if you're finished with renaming it, just place the folder into the addons folder (Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons).
NOTE: you have to be subscribed to it and start gmod to start downloading the addon

im not sure if renaming it simply would work... you either have to decompile it and use crowbar to change the model paths in the qc file or use the original replacement from the workshop.

I think the closest thing as a reskin for the default combine npcs is "Jim's Combine Soldiers v2." but yeah between the two this absolutely cool.

it did work for me without decompiling stuff, i forgot to add in that you have to move the files back to the model one

or you could just download the gamebanana one's and extract it with gcfscape instead of doing all this
