VT Maggy - basic stats, more dmg, a lot of HP (about 5 or 6)
The idea would be, once again, bleeding, with her having a chance to spawn a heart once killing an enemy, and her pocket item fully healing her, but adding a broken heart in return.
VT Cain - Only form of attack its his pocket item, the Bag. It can store enemy shots and fire a certain amount once stored; He can also "store" enemies, putting a bag over their head and getting closer to it makes Cain punch them, dealing high dmgs, but the item gets locked while during so. Finally, all the items he gets are bagged instantly, granting effect
to either bagging tears or enemies.
VT Judas - Something about his dagger and dashes, like a "Omni Slash" or something.
VT ??? - I honestly don't know about this character, maybe make something like a "Poopnomicon" or an item that spawns little friendly dips, and everything such as item and consumables grant you more dips, and you can only gain more itens by using a "Mixture" where you trade some of your dips for a item from the current pool.
VT Eve - Basic stats, low HP; Attacks using her bird, and the less HP she has, the more birds she gain.
VT Samsom - High Speed, Small HP, its always on his rage mode, slowly draning until a certain point in which he becomes calm, getting a All-Stats down (but not too harsh), and maybe a pocket item that restarts that Rage meter.
VT Azazel - Shoots tears instead of a brimstone, which can grant the "Curse" effect of T.Azazel; His pocket item works like a singular Brimstone shot, kinda like Shoop Da Whoop but way weaker.
VT Lazarus - You're quite literally Half 'n Half, being Dead and Alive. Was also thinking about a similar effect of Damocles, that is, having higher chances of dying once you get hit.
VT Eden - Oh boy. This character basically rerolls everything at every 5 seconds or so, and his item stops that reroll for the current room.
VT Lost - High stats, All item pedetals are either quality 3/4, absolutely no mantle or extra lifes, and he runs on a 45m timer. Basically a must speedrun. His Birthright grants +15/20 minutes of life, and a singular holy card effect.
VT Lilith - Low Stats, shoots with a baby on her center "ribcage"; She has a More Options for familiars, so Special rooms will contain the item and the familiar. Grabbing more familiars grant her a small All Stats Up.
VT Apollyion - Basic stats, every item becomes 'cursed" and breaks into various pickups/consumables once touched. Using his item, he can obtain pedestals by trading for a broken heart, that is, being only able to get 11 by default. Using his item in a room with pickups will grant various small stats up.
VT Keeper - Here we go again. Lets see. . .Time is Money maybe? This character starts with 99 Coins, a single, powerful [BIG SHOT] and Store Key (gulped). Each second it passes and shots costs 1 coin, and killing and enemy guarantees a coin, with champions and bosses giving more coins. This character cant get itens or pickups that aren't coin-related, and every special room (such as treasure, Angel, Devil) becomes its own shop (much like how T.Keeper does)
VT Bethany - No hearts whatsoever, except Bone hearts (unfilled), and she summons controllable enemies?
VT J&E - Now for those, i though of two things
- A two-headed body (similar to a Conjoined Fatty), in which one of them can only shoot in certain locked directions (eg. Jacob being Left and Up, Esau being RIght and Down); but they share the same items.
- A Esau that works like the Dople enemy, mirroring your movements and shoots at you, which damages, but he's also a part of the character, so he can receive damage from other enemies and get items aswell.
adoption papers v2
Exactly.
The idea its for her to be a "Motherhood" by any means necessary, being unable to live without her children, and those who are hopeless.
or something idk lol
V. Maggy starts out with 1 full red heart container and 5 empty jugg skeleton hearts (I'll explain that in a sec), and can only gain more jugg skeleton hearts in the run (might be difficult to code in, so maybe just 5 jugg skeleton hearts instead?)
Her first ability is
Instead of normal skeleton hearts, V. Maggy gains juggernaut skeleton hearts as health ups, and all skeleton heart pickups are replaced with jugg skeleton hearts.
Jugg hearts look like spiky, more armored variants of skeleton hearts, and take 4-5 hits total to break (2 to deplete red hearts, 2-3 to break the bone heart itself). When broken, they explode into several bone projectiles that embed themselves into enemies, dealing constant damage.
J. Hearts also cause you to deal contact damage to enemies, the damage depending on how many J. Hearts you have.
Additionally, V. Maggy will bowl through enemies without slowing down when she runs into them, pushing them aside and further damaging them if they run into another enemy/obstacle.
Her second and final ability is
V. Maggie's red/skeleton heart containers are Constantly Regenerating at about the same rate T. Maggy loses her health (maybe faster in uncleared room to allow for more ramming attacks, or even just faster in general, forcing you to use Crush (explained later) more often?). The catch is that once she is full on hearts, the next time she tries to regenerate, she instead gains a broken heart.
To counteract this health gain, V. Maggy gains the pocket active called "Crush", which allows her to halt regeneration in exchange for destroying a skeleton heart (could turn a preexisting broken heart into a spiky B. Heart as well, conferring the contact damage bonus the J. Heart had onto it)
Overall, this is meant to be a sort of alternate reality version of tainted maggy with similar mechanics (health manipulation, up close and personal damage style) but a different execution of them.
Also no soul hearts for V. maggy, they get replaced with jugg hearts
Birthright would probably further augment her jugg hearts or ability to bowl through enemies or something similar
