@Dhalgren, thank you for pointing that out. I knew what was going on right when I read it. Eyebrows, lips, and eyeshadows should now work correctly.

As for editing slider limits, make sure you have admin access to see the buttons. If it is a multiplayer server, you don't want any other players to mess with the limits since it will affect everyone.

Keep the bug reports coming. Thank you.

For warpaints, Funcom has 3 indices allocated. Face, body and hands. All these shared 1 color index. Modders can ignore this and make a 'face' texture that has body warpaints, for example.

This essentially gives them 3 layers to play with, face, body and hands layers. Then they make their own rules to which indices are for which layers. This of course made a mess when other mods access warpaints. Thus, you can imagine how out of control it will get when more modders does this. Without foreknowledge of what future modders will do, I cannot predetermine and allocate indices for it, I can only present what Funcom intended.

The same goes for eyebrows, lips makeup, and eyeshadows. Except each of these has 1 distinct color index.

Yes, each color has an alpha channel for opacity. When you make adjustment to this channel, it makes the color lighter until it disappears at 0. But why not just select a lighter color? And if you want it to disappear just select no warpaint from the slider (1st index of the slider).

As for the screenshot - I assumed it is just mods adding the same color other mods added.

Once again, thank you for your findings. It happens when the game or other mods 'equips/unequips' a warpaint. It was an oversight as I thought a warpaint is just a simple texture override. It has been fixed now.

This mod will now 'reapply' visual changes for warpaint akin to that of an equipment. Setting all warpaint sliders to the 1st index, which is no warpaints, will remove this.

You can download the pak file at nexusmods. I post my updates there as well.

for some reason this only works for players and not for thralls when I put thrall in other armor and keep it with regular armor, and when I remove armor from it, other armor appears that I myself chose for thrall.

@Dimas200, I thought you are trolling dude. What are you saying exactly? Without understanding, all I can say is maybe another mod is interfering because it messes with the main game files. This mod does not touch the game's original files, but if some other mod does, then it prevents other mods from working correctly.

Hello. Following a game chrash, my saved profiles with EA (several) are no longer applicable. Trying to apply anyone of them, this don't work. I have opened the .sav file with notepad++, but it is not at all clear neither the language used nor the type of encoding (ANSI, UTF-8, you know what I'm talking about I think).

Can you give me some pointers on how to try to edit the file to make it readable again? Thanks.

Not all makeup seems to be invisible on the menu and when I select the ones that are visible on my thralls they won't retain said makeup once saved, also the mod seems to be incompatible with IQOL once you edit a thrall on this mod it won't allow you to edit it on the IQOL menu, which is a shame because IQOL has some features not found in this mod so they make for a good combination
IdeaPoet  [developer] 12 Dec, 2022 @ 2:12am
Sorry for that to happen to you.

Profiles are saved in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved\SaveGames\IdeaPoet_EdAp_Profiles.sav

It is a binary file serialized by UE4 and not editable in text editor nor hex editor. It is usually still usable after game crashes because the only time the file is altered is when you save a profile. Did your game crash while saving a profile? Unfortunately there isn't a way to edit this file. You may backup the file if you don't want to lose it.

Conan Exiles use a version of UE4 from 2016. Making a save system like that is a whole ordeal. New game version shouldn't affect this mod at all, especially profiles, which has nothing much to do with the game itself. Let me know if you can track down the specific cause of the problem. Backup the .sav for now. I'll see if I can do a whole new save system in the future. Can't make any promises now.

@semillakan6, please page to a reply I made at 4 Nov @ 10:49pm. IQoL, unfortunately used the warpaint variables the way that Funcom did not intent it to. I am adhering with Funcom so other mod dealing with warpaints would work as it should.

I have found some appearance changes persist with a game restart and some need their profiles to be reapplied. So far I have found my dancer and my overseer assigned to the wheel of pain both maintain their changes with a game restart but the rest do not.

Can someone smarter than me please help me understand why this happens?

sorry i didnt think about posting this in Bug reports until i had already posted it in general comments

i'm having a problem between your mod and Complete Thrall Fashion. when i edit a thrall with your mod the Complete Thrall Fashion mod no longer works for that thrall. i'm unable to click the check boxes to switch between armors with Complete Thrall Fashion mod
IdeaPoet  [developer] 17 Dec, 2022 @ 10:33pm
@Grimmiekins, okay, no problem, I'll remove the comments.

As for the issue you are having, that is how it is suppose to work. If you don't want to have appearance overridden, just un-check the check box for the corresponding armor type (In Appearance Edit). The purpose of the armor appearance override is armor appearance override. - So that you can wear whatever you want and still look however you want.

If Complete Thrall Fashion (I have no experience with it) does that too then you'll have to decide which mod's check boxes to un-tick.
