First Impressions Of "Bridge Crossing"
Introduction

While playing through this map I noticed some Minor things that Could Impact the gameplay and also some visual aspects. The map is wonderful how it is making it seem really cold and frosty with the whole Fog visual.

Visual

As this map is wonderful I couldn't say it didn't have any flaws, Such as the strong fog which does make the map look misty and cold, But would reccomend using a snow effect to make it look more Pleasing? I personly dislike any type of fog in any map.

I also noticed the FPS drop I got from this map. Mostly when I play any other map I'll be getting a steady 180fps+ but on this map I was getting around 90fps and under (when on the main part of the bridge or any open area). this map is very Intensive and wouldn't be too good in professional matches such as eSports.

On the T side the fence on the stairs are clipping into the post as showen here: http://puu.sh/ascmE/92975199d4.jpg
Makes the map look rushed and not checked through.

Gameplay-

The gameplay of this map seems to me to be in the favour of Terrorists, The map is quite large. It took me 24 seconds to run from the hostages to the drop off zone without carrying a hostage when using the Bridge. It took me 39 seconds from the hostages in the shed to the drop off zone without carrying a hostage when using the under part of the map.

The stumps on the T side are don't collide with anything such as bullets and and players as showen here: http://puu.sh/ascpM/7af15e2e58.jpg

The lower area isn't thought out at all, It's open and can be used as an area for the T's to snipe down and get some easy kills as showen here: http://puu.sh/asck7/6253ad63b4.jpg

The huge ladder in the middle of the map to me seems pointless as T's could camp and wait for the CT's to start climbing and just be shot down by the T's.. The map in some areas is very claustrophobic.

Conclusion

The map needs some editing intill it's good for use and I would rate it a: 6.8/10

Hi, I want to thank you for your well thought out review.

I love the feedback you've given, it's something I can really incorperate into the map.

The performance issues are something that might be a bit tricky to fix, Source Engine does an alright job on large open maps but almost all optimalisation techniques rely on areas of the map being invisible from certain others points in the map (Per example Dust II's long is not rendered when you're at T-spawn because you couldn't possible see it ect.) all I have to work with in this area is hiding stuff that you can't see because of the fog

Most other points are things I'll work on and you should see in an update, thanks again!

Fairly ironic that such a big map feels claustrophobic at some area's, althought I agree :P

this map is my favourite place to be, i use it in csgo, play with bots or just walk around the map for hours rather than playing actual game, since cs2 came out, i realised how perfect and beautiful this is..
