would it be possible to have them target the player? you could set the player team in the mod options or something like that
edit: another idea would be a button to change player team in game with the ai selector gun thing

Definitely possible. It requires a little bit of rework with target acquisition is the main thing right now. There's also discussion of getting tanks to target ragdolls and inanimate objects as well, so it's likely I'll add in player targeting at the same time.

Not sure how difficult it would be to implement some sort of patrol mode? It would be cool to set a tank down and have it patrol through an area engaging any contacts it found. (especially once targeting of ragdolls is implemented)

Looking forward to being able to update the AI parameters too, it makes more sense for tanks/BMPs, etc to stay away from each other a bit instead of trying to ram each other.

a way to make it so that the ais only start fighting when you want them to (so you dont have to frantically click on the tanks you wanna be on the other side)

making the A.I able to pilot choppers and planes could be funny))))

and making it having a greater range for the detection of ennemy vehicles would be great !

Could the AI have a "attack" mode where they try and move up and shoot and a "defense" move where they stay still?

Can you try and make them shoot while moving? I was not expecting them not to fire which is kind of dissapointing for me, Because i like shooting and all with tanks.

AI params are on the way in the next update. I'd like to add patrolling/guarding as well, but that could be a little trickier.

See the mod description. Make sure RAV sounds expansion and the original AVF isn't enabled. If that doesn't fix it, I'll help you out in the bugs discussion

Actually in talks with Cheejins about this today lol, he does the planes mod that's on the workshop

Can tanks have a different movement behavior other than just driving into each other? It would be cool if they could circle each other or something.

a start/stop button on the ai so we can set up scenarios before they shred eachother

Could you add compatibility with the "Hack Vehicle" mod that has vehicles chase players? I know this would likely be very difficult to implement, but it couldn't hurt to mention...

If you hop into one of the tanks of the opposite team, they will still shoot at you, while you're able to drive the tank. Not sure if that is your question, but just a simple way to still combat these things.
