RimWorld

RimWorld

[RH2] Faction: V.O.I.D.
Mods that "might" survive Void
Yeah lets start a list of mods that might compare to our overlord's power
I can confirm Science Never Stops (Now Ambition of the Cosmic) can survive...BUT you need to make it to end game stuff to actually survive.

I got lucky with some caravan raids during travel to get a recursion blade which can one shot the enemies...but its now a risk vs reward attack I can one shot but so can they.

Conclusion: Only Viable with a midgame Void Installation, new game void, not feasable

In combination with rimfactory, for materiel production, Questionable Ethics Expanded (Adds cloning), Empire - easy resources for your rimfactory production chain, srts for some nice carpet bombing, rimatomics - nukes and power for the factory
Glittertech. If you can manage to get one of the rapid fire carbines or one of the rail pistols, you'll at least stand a chance versus a 1 or 2 unit raid early on.
Fortification Industrial with all addons. If your base can't fight the fight without ever putting a pawn on the line then you aren't using enough Dakka.
blyad 19. lis. 2022 v 14.32
UAC and DOOM
MakaiTech helps, if only for some bit.

Vanilla Psycast Expanded can cheese most hostility with unique psycasts against this mod. They aren't mythic after all, just plain hardcore survivors and monsters.

Not really much, but Vanilla Faction Expanded: Ancients has Superpowers that can easily cheese with the right superpower. But its a hit or miss gamble.

If Rim-Effect ever gets 1.4 after HAR heck, the Biotic Amp's ability can easily pummel V.O.I.D and most N-4.
Rimatomics. Specifically, the Marauder plasma cannon turret. Set up a few of those and hook them up to a bunch of PPCs (you'll need a lot, I have 24 in a cave) with a dedicated reactor to power it. The Marauder will absolutely annihilate even the Titans in one burst. Just make sure you have enough defensive walls (I use reinforced concrete citadel embrasures from Fortification Industrial) to keep them from breaking through while the guns recharge, and you're good. Also, the TACS will keep them from using drop pods to come down on the middle of your base so they actually have to face the guns.
Nanobots Mod And

Ambition of the Cosmic As well It's Addon.

Just Because. Well Look at the mods.
A Rimworld of Magic -- Lots of fun jank. It's such a big mod that I'm sure there's combos I haven't found yet. I've found decent success with combat, but the real help is with logistics.

Cybernetic Warfare and Special Weapons -- Seems to be the hard counter to V.O.I.D. Some of the weapons are pretty deadly. V.O.I.D will still shred your pawns unless you're using other mods, but this one gives you some fire power to fight back by the mid-late game.
vanilla expanded series(esspecially psycasts) + caravan adventures
psylink(level 50) ancient gift psycaster go brrrrr
Also Rimeffect for 1.3 (since Rimeffect hasnot updated yet)
A Biotic with the biotic version of berserk could pretty much solo void since that one ignores psychic sensetivity
VE Genetics, with the Archocentipede.
Biotech + gene mods. Toughness, robust, just pretty much directly decrease damage for your pawns.
Orassans. Their weapons are straight-up nasty, and the furballs are friendly. I don't suggest picking a fight with both the furballs and VOID at the same time, though...
I'd be willing to argue that Rim of Magic and the magic expansion mods might be able to defeat VOID factions, so long as you're both careful and something along the lines of "how are you still alive."

Then there's the cheatsy route known as Character Editor where you could A-

I believe Rimworld of Magic has straight up Mind Control Orbs, so you can just steal a VOID pawn relatively early if you're lucky. Also a necromancer would be able to revive dead VOID pawns? I can't remember if zombies keep bionics/implants though.
