pg 2 winning or losing:
Death - When a player’s HP is reduced to 0,
they are dead and the party loses the game.
pg. 13 very bottom:
When a player dies in a boss fight, continue fighting. Enemies in a row with a dead player target
the nearest row with a player below them. If there are no players below them, they target the
nearest row with a player above them.
there is no clarification however on what the second rule means for the next act. This is actually likely a proofing error from when the rules changed at some point. hopefully there will be more clarity in the future.
For now... go with what you feel. if you die during a non boss fight, thats unequivocally the end of a run. however if someone dies in a boss, the rules are vague on if you actually lose or not. If you go the non lose route, assume everyone revives in the next act.
