It might be hard to find something matching for the tenants, but there is example the unused Crystal Backpack, there could be used to make a Crystalline merchant tenant for the Crystalline furniture.
I will definitely look into creating tenants for new sets in nearest future, thanks!
The King Nutmidgeling, Bulbop and Mandraflora should be able to drop plant fibre on death.
The Mini Drone should be able to drop robotic parts on death. (Look at the Bobot and Scandroid for examples)
I am not too certain about the Oogler, but it looks like it's a mutated cow with udders, and if that's true should it be able to drop milk on death, similar to how the Mooshi produce milk.
The Orbide should be able to drop maggots on death.
The Taroni should be able to drop tarballs on death.
The Sporgus should be able to drop mushrooms on death.
The Oculob should be able to drop slime blobs on death.
The Snaunt, Pteropod, Crutter, Miasmop and Oculob should be able to drop poison on death.
The Crabcano and Pyromantle should be able to drop lava on death.
The tentacle monsters should be able to drop tentacles on death. (The Tentabomb, Tentaclam, Tentacrawler, Tentaghost, Tentagnat and Tentaspawner)
The Po can drop poop on death, but the Po Golem can't. The Po Golem should also be able to drop poop on death.
I don't think most of this is a good idea. Although adding robot drops to the Mini Drone is a pretty obvious and no-brainer thing i'll definitely take into consideration, most of the other drop propositions are not actually viable.
First, most of them do not make a lot of sense and not "realistic" by any means, e.g. Orbide dropping larvas. Like, yeah, he's kind of a monster from a literal hive biome with lots of larvas but it doesn't mean he must drop it too. You'll not get ant eggs by smashing the ant, I hope you understand me.
Second, you probably already have a big surplus of these "realistic" drops from monsters. You have a lot of plant fibre, why should it drop from King Nutmidgeling making you have even more of it. The other case is when the resource isn't actually that useful. Like Slime Blobs or the same Laravas. You can only make furniture with these and if you need it, you just quickly find the nearest slime/hive biome and quickly farm hundreds of them.
Third is there is already somehow unique drops from monsters, like Leather, Sharpened Claw, Scorched Cores and etc. They have their use in gameplay and are an essential part of vanilla, that should not be touched. It also can cause common sense conflicts, when, for example, King Nutmidgeling drops both Plant Fibre and Living Root, although it has this green part at its head and its EITHER Living Root or Plant Fibre.
Fourth and last, I don't remember this ever being a thing in vanilla Starbound at all, thus it isn't supposed to be in game how developers see it. Point of the mod isn't making Starbound "realistic" or changing it by any significant way, but fixing obvious bugs and enabling lost content. "Gagging" and throwing in random things isn't actually the style.
Enabling robot drops for a robot monster that doesn't have it for some reason, when all other robot monsters do? Yeah! Adding some new and not actually reasonable drops to ALL monsters in game, when they never actually had or planned to have them? I would rather say "no" to this.
Oh, yeah, and poop also drops with a small chance from Po Golem, if i read it right :D
Considering enabling Cooked Tentacle recipe too, since Raw Tentacle is totaly obtainable by normal gameplay, but doesn't have a cooking recipe by some reason.
Thanks!
First, there is a structure that spawns in the "Ocean" biomes. The structure is small, made of dire rocks, it's got a bottom floor with a chest and a top floor with two barrels in it. Nothing ever seems to spawn in those two barrels.
In the "Ocean" biome again (This is all underwater, i forgot to clarify the first time) there's several places where a "medieval" style chest spawn. 9 times out of 10, the only thing these chest will have in them is... 10 water balloons. Which is just... so lame. I know other things can spawn in them, like underwater specific cosmetic armor sets (I think) but the spawn rate seems to be way lower than it should. In my opinion, at least.
In the same vein, in the "Volcanic" biomes, theres several Volcano structures, which contain a "Volcanic" style chest. And, you guessed it, they're lame. They usually spawn only 10 LAVA balloons. Wowza. These chests are arguably even lamer, as they only spawn on tier 6 planets, and are also waaay more annoying to get to. These chests can spawn with only 5 different items in them (the 3 piece Fire Lord set, the lava balloons, and a fog machine for some reason) but that's not an excuse to make these chests so damn lame!
Also, just gonna tag this on here, because this one i'm really not sure about, but i feel like there is another "Decayed" biome microdungeon that's got empty crates in it. However, i can't for the life of me remember which one it would be. May be an idea to check them all and see, if it's not too much of a hassle. I could also just be wrong on this one.
I looked through all decayed microdungeons, when fixed the one on screenshot, actually. Yeah, there was a plenty of empty ones and they should be populated with items too. It's just not screenshoted, but I stated it in mod description as "Fixes some crates presumably accidentally being left empty in Scorched planets' microdungeons".
Thanks for the tips! These are very useful! Like, woah, who would actually notice such a small thing, like NPC not being able to jump to the upper floor of his house?? You're insane! Thank you very much!
Avian airship, desert house and ocean microdungeon barrels loot fix up!
Currently thinking of improvements towards ocean dungeons loot table. It's not that easy than on the first glance. There are separate loot tables for surface ocean and ocean floor. And microdungeons are using the surface table for some reason. Making them use the floor table will fix the problem but it will make ocean surface items harder to obtain on the other side. Thinking.
As for the Volcanic microdungeons loot. I have zero ideas. Yeah, they're lame as hell, and even far lamer than ocean ones, but I actually have no idea what to do with it. Subject for future thought too.
Write here if you'd come up with any other improvement points! Thanks!
Also, just as i was reading this, i remembered something else!
In the Apex village, there's an apartment block (It's got stairs in the middle with little apartments on the left and right, if i remember right?) There's an exit at the top that's got two doors on either side. There's also two cameras hanging from the ceiling there. Now, the camera on the right side is totally fine, but the left one, well... If you open the door, it pops right off. You usually just find it laying on the floor all sad. I guess they put it too close to the door. No idea why the right one stays on just fine tho.
Actually, i was a little wrong on this one. There are two cameras outside, and then there is a camera inside, and it's that one that pops off. And yeah, it is too close to the door. I don't know if it can be edited so it won't fall off, but removing it would not be that big of a deal, it's hard to even notice it when it hasn't fallen off.
