Updates? Did some myself!
Hi. I did some work on this mod out of curiosity (and to see how Cosmoteer mods look like) and ended up spending several hours on it.
Changes I made:
- new hyperdrives are not constantly draining power.
- changed how cables transfer power. Also, thermal changes as well.
- added stats, indicators and buff icons to most parts.

Some problems still exists, this is a work in progress, but I am publishing it so @yobeefjerky can take a look and maybe incorporate some/all changes.
I will remove this upon request from original author ofcourse.

From the change list that looks pretty good, I'm gonna check this out, might be cool to incorporate these into the mod.

Downloaded and looking into it, the buff icons are extremely nice and something I had been trying to make work (to no success), I'm not sure about the new power distribution method, though I think the method used is incredibly clever.

On that, the only issue I see with the new power distribution method is that it doesn't seem to spread power across the grid quickly enough, which means in my stress test (just running a big ship around with a kind of crappily optimized grid, so most cases :P) thrusters are left unpowered, and eventually the ship no longer has power. Hi! Sorry for delay, I went on holiday and missed your messages somehow.
In my tests power grid did pretty good, delivering 16 batteries per second or powering 12 ions from single line of corridor with substations attached, each powering 3 ions.
Maybe you found configuration that is broken somehow, might be distributeevenly vs prioritizemostempty which is crappy...

New grid has problems with backfeed and some loops, maybe that hinders your test ship. Something I am still trying to solve, not sure how thought.

It needs to be placed in mods directory manually, I did not create workshop mod out of it as I am not 100% happy how this works and I am collaborating (as time permits, hectic times) with yobeefjerky on this mod.

1. The mod you are commenting on is not mine (and mine is working on latest Cosmoteer with no issues)
2. You did not provide ANY details regarding the crash, no logs, no error message, nothing.
