If your kingdom siege a castle/town, give it to you, and then someone else siege it and take it from you, that castle/town/villages will start to create your troops even for the enemies!
Also be interesting to make a game where every kingdom has the exact same unit, advance it 30 years and see how much units have to do with kingdom balance.
They are mostly forcing their prisoner to become soldiers.
Depending on what configs settings you have, a castle or town will stop producing your custom units once it lost to another kingdom.
BUT depending how strong you make your custom units, it a high chance those that fell durinf the siege becomes prisoners and later recruited.
I have noticed that the AI would rather recruit the custom units when they are prisoner than other units. Therefore sometimes you feel betrayed seeing one of your Legendary Holy knight on their side.
But know... He was forced to! KILL HIM QUICK!
-Cheers!
Ps I can still look into this just in case but every day it should refresh and check the settings meaning that bug should not happen.
If you have enabled either of the two options. Kingdom or only your iwned settlement.
Any peaceful AI will recruit from the villages.
And no there is no way to stop this, but no worries most AI are programmed to recruit from their kingdom.
I guess I was wrong,I double checked, I saw a Lord with 15 troops patrolling with some of my troops, then they recruited a normal troop. I know that he lost a battle, so he just spawned recently, I guess they spawn in one of my sieged castle and take some of my units from there, and the other Lord I saw early recruiting my troops I guess was my mistake.
Friendly lords can recruit your troops. Same as you going to their kingdom and recruiting from their villages.
But enemy lords would never recruit your troops as they rather raid the village.
But it is weird since AI should be prioritized to recruit from their own lands. If they own any or else they pretty much mercenaries.
