I.E. Governor gets Steward, Charm, Leadership
Blademaster gets 1H, 2H, Athletics
Hunter gets Bow, Riding, Tactics
Manipulator gets Rougery, Charm, Steward
etc. etc.
Or something similar. I always wonder what my former peasant and now Elite Infantryman wanted to be when he finally made a name for himself. He may not have wanted to be a murder machine, he might have wanted to be a doctor.

(Companions will behave different and also get appropriate experience)
To have extra companions, go in:
C:\Users\(your pc name)\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs\ModSettings\UsefulCompanions
open: "config.xml", there find: "<clan_member_limit_boost value=" and change the value to your liking if you give 3 then you have 6 companions, for 8 you get 11, for 40 you start with 43 possible companions, etc
could you add a configuration to suppress the upgrade function of the mod.
When the troop get upgraded to companion it seems to gain some levels an it gets some random skill upgrades.
Background:
I was trying to make a companion only playthrough.
Your mod is great for this. I change the configuration like this:
upgrade_to_hero = true
tier_threshold = 0
My problem is, that my low level recruit ends up a level 10+ killing machine ;-) and is very expensive. This prevents the delicious early game struggle.
For example I have custom names set with titles ie. "General Blahlius Borger" and in-game it comes out as "General Blahlius Borger the knife" or something similar. I would like to remove that just for convenience.
Personally I think the title additions are very cool though don't quite fit in the campaign I'm running at the moment. Maybe there's a possibility to add options to customize the available titles added onto companion names in the future? I think that would be sick
I would love to be able to change the settings of the mod by using using the mod configuration menu insted of browsing the mod files
