Since the design isn't relly pirate or medieval themed, this could be used for a hybrid knight-centric shield.

+Impact damage and Melee hits charge a meter that can release a blast of pressurized air upon use

+200% faster melee swap to speed.

(Other stats would be equal to the Splendid Screen, only without an increase in charge damage)

Charging the meter requires around 500 damage and can be activated by pressing the reload key while your melee is out. The knockback force and range is twice that of a normal airblast, but otherwise functions the same way.

This could be fun to use just because of the counterplays you could pull of with the airblast. You could reflect a soldier's rocket into him or his medic to soften them up before going in for melee hits, ensuring a quicker kill. You could clear an area of stickies so you can charge through without danger. You can even use it to reflect spam when you're trying to get behind enemy lines. What you lose in consistent tankiness you gain in situational tankiness.

One could say this undermines the pyro's ultility, but I'd argue that the flamethrower is still a better defensive tool due to how immediately accessible its airblast is. This weapon's airblast is bigger and stronger, but it would realistically take around 2 minutes to charge it.
