I will complete english ver soon, of course, but it needs some time. Google transtion kor->en is not perfect.
So i suggest you how about directly translate kor -> jp !
Some say google translation jp<->kor works vary fine, because of similarity between two languages.
And you can edit any awkward & weird lines much as you wants!
I made launching events for make players feel good when they build ships.
So events already contain kor memes.
Edit lines for other language? its perfectly fine.
Please think about it!
Again, many thanks for your translation!
Thank you reply.
Please don't worry, my first-language is japanese. I too non-native speaking on english(incl. korean).
>I will complete english ver soon, of course, but it needs some time. Google transtion kor->en is not perfect.
I was working of premise, on your dev and localization based language is Kor(ko).
Anyway, trying by pre-translated "*korean.yml" with Google Translate, proper-nouns / expressions were mistranslated, It was difficult of my ability to understand sentence of details, vocabulary, and more.
e.g.
--------------------------------
#Naval ships
building_man_o_wars:0 "전열함"
en: "Man o war" | ko: "전열함" -> (via Google)
-> ja: "伝熱箱(en: Heat transfer box)" <- ja(correctly of): "マンノウォー(Man-of-war) | 戦列艦(aka. ship of the line)".
building_ironclad:0 "철갑함"
en: "Ironclad" | ko :"철갑함" -> (via Google)
-> ja: "チョウ(en: butterfly)" <- ja(correctly of): "装甲艦(1:1 Ironclad), 甲鉄艦(1:1 synonym)".
--------------------------------
Sentence that have been documented(in journal, and event text) is somewhat understandable, and can be possible of translated as a "Draft" assumption.
however, as I understand it, is popular-japanese speakers general are sensitive to "detailed of wording", I wanted to avoid the possibility that author's(is your) intentions could not be conveyed of accurately due to paraphrases that deviate from original intentions.
----------------
* If by Using of similar kanji translation. e.g.
kor:강/河(gang/kang), zh-CN:河(hé/ho4) -> ...
ja:川(kawa/gawa, by major japanese kanji-font). or,
河(synonym, 1:1 pronunciation but uncommon by this meaning).
----------------
In my understandig and POV, of Dont all should bring political conflicts or nationalistic rants into the gaming community that everyone enjoys, But some peoples in local Japanese community are confused or mistaken about this. (its very sad and unfortunate but It's a fact...)
I am aware the reasonable of my responsibility for content on Japanese localization, and understand that it maybe credited,
however, take into account the "risk(misunderstand dis-respecting for creators)" that may be criticized for your great contribution, I have temporarily suspended by translation work.
Maybe, I'm worrying too much, but I think the safest thing to do is localize Japanese based on stable Korean-English sentences.
Please tell I your opinion.
Cheers.
