Skirmishers / fire archers
started playing this gamemode about 3 days ago, and these 2 elements bug/confuse me

firstly, the skirmishers, and their ability to sprint to you, and attack you (or maybe they are just really fast)... basically, i don't see the point of these, i dont think any level of skill, or luck is going to take care of these, essentially, if there is a single skirmisher in a horde, it will kill you, there is no chance to stop, and engage/kill it, or have any reasonable way of removing it, if it's following you, it will just hit you... unless you're in higher waves, and have a long weapon, there's no way to deal with these without being surrounded and killed yourself.

fire archers... i can only guess these guys are just here to prevent you from finding some safe spot or something... either way, they are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... they prevent you from using the ballistas at all, and mean you just constantly have to be running while you're engaging things on the ramp, or outside the walls... and even when you are running, it kinda still seems luck based whether you will be hit or not


anyway, i would like to see, atleast some config options for private players, and server owners to be able to change these 2 things as they like.

Fully agree, the fire archers especially are terrible in every way. I played this map about a year ago and I had the same complaints then. Having played it again recently, nothing has changed other than the inclusion of donor items (useless to almost everyone)

You can disable sprint attacks already in config. Skirmishers themselves can not be disabled.
Since of today you can disable skelly archers: EnemySkeletonArchersDisabled

They will not be disabled on my servers, because as others explained in the main comment section, they can be killed with enough experience and make the game more challenging.

yeah mate, because it's practical to crouch and look down while fighting hordes of units, or using a ballista, thanks for the input
why the dead archers and the trebuchet hit you even when you teleport into the throne room? how?

there are cases of getting stuck about textures, you are surrounded by bots and no way to go, although visually the place to go is

fast knights and infantry did not fit into the normal laws of physics. when you are running, why they are doing something on one of your step 3! this is not normal

I understand Donath created for weak players? and by the way they are very interfere with play their multiple murders. it is not good, have to throw them out of the game.

the latest version is 3.19 was corrected to the multiple use of hot oil from the wall. after the hotfix, the damage was very minimal, so what's the point in oil? even the peasants do not receive damage! you should fix that

Oh, the oilpot damage should be way greater than i previous versions. Weird, how much dmg does it do? You can see the damage numbers when you are close to the bots.

i think i also noticed this... though i thought i was just getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ indirect hits, but i definately was killing alot less with the pots... no idea how much damage it does, not really close enough to see damage numbers if i'm doing oil on the walls.

I spottet the mistake and fixed it. After the next update the oilpots will really do more dmg...
