Restore cut real time lighting?

Just saw LNG's video on the subject. any plans to reimplement the cut lighting into the game? perhaps a collaboration with the guy who's working on the mod?

I came here with the exact same question. This is something I'd like to see more than any other feature in Halo 2 Uncut. The "stencil shadow" look that Splinter Cell and Doom 3 had would look amazing in Halo 2, and were definitely a huge part of the original vision for the game.
