idea: this mod + pope is a vassal
The idea is simple and somewhat historical: when the Pope lost all of his titles and you control Rome, you have the option to give the Pope the Vatican and turn him into your vassal.

This happened when Italy was unified as the Pope fled to the Vatican.

Pope would of course hate you for doing this but at least hes still got some land.

The idea sounds good, can take a look at it when i have some more free time wether it gets done through a decision or maybe a special casus belli that can only be done by a catholic against the pope.

I created a new decision in the game, you now have the option taking the decision to give him vaticano and remain independent or give him vaticano but make him your vassal.

The decision requires you to be an emperor, as the papacy is a kingdom title, and you only get half of the piety for balancing reasons.
