- Radiation damage is annoying as all hell, and cannot for the life of me focus the scope because of the damned lingering damage. I can't even hide because the enemy shot at a tree. In Halo Infinite, this was amended gameplay-wise by making lingering weapons (electric pistol) wielded by Grunts so they can either be killed faster, or that you can hide from. Likewise, it is annoying to hear marines screaming all the time from these weapons.
- Jackal Snipers without glowing scopes is far more frustrating than fun, and I have no idea why would an invisible skirmisher sniper be a good idea gameplay wise. One thing is realism, another is fun gameplay, and when you have to memorize the location of each jackal sniper, it grounds gameplay to a halt. There's a good reason why after Halo 2, both Bungie 343 Industries either gave Jackal Snipers scopes and a delay time before firing without pinpoint accuracy, or nerfed them entirely.
- The dismemberment mechanic as a gameplay thing is a good idea in theory, but when Jackals have their shooting arm shot off, it becomes weird as all hell that they would continue to hold the line and keep their shields up. From a gameplay and lore reason, Jackals would absolutely leg it the moment they decided they weren't paid enough for this.
- Chief needs to have much more saturated green armor and orange helmet. The model itself is spectacular, but in cutscenes it melds too much with the rest of the setting. In order to make a character stand out, it is why the games focus on a saturated color palette so it contrasts with the rest of the characters and especially background.
