Development Update #1: Klingons and Romulans, Cloak Device and LFS
Greetings recruits of Starfleet!

This is the first post about the development of this addon, every update will have one or two development update, this one will be about the sixth update.




Starships

The lost Scimitar

The Scimitar Dreadnought Warbird is a Tier 5 (Star Trek Online) from the Romulan Republic.
The length of this starship is supposed to be slightly less than the Klingon Vor'Cha (430m), standard shield, photon torpedos, disruptors and the cloak device.

The model that was ripped from Star Trek Online is absolutely normal when you are editing on Blender, with that, i started doing the normal procedure, exported, got the crowbar, and bang! It's on the game, only one problem, the textures.

For some reason, the texture of the right nacelle works, and the rest just follows the color, even when there's no textures, there's no "error's" in the body, only on the right nacelle.Verified the UV on blender, the same as the others models, normal. Then, i decided, "i'm not going to give me free stress, i'll jump this model and get even more models to compensate".




Mogai
This was the one that i decided to use as a substitute to the Scimitar, the Mogai Class.

This is a high quality model, with over 120.000 verts, it was necessary to reduce to 69.000 (aprox.) verts because of studiomdl. Unfortunatelly, i can't say the same to his textures.

Klingon starships
On this update, there'll be four new klingon starships (three, if you do not count the discovery D7).

All of them equipped with cloaking device, with one difference compared to the BortasQu class, I'm looking for a new way to make the cloaking device a little less efficient.

Cloaking Device and the LFS Code

When speaking of cloaking device, i'm literally saying 'invisible entity', with that, my one and only objective is making the LFS IA and UI not detect at all the cloaked ship, but then, we have a problem, the starships doesn't have a 'translucent' effect, he simply goes to invisible, i'm not able to create a cloaking effect like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN_SpcukIhU .

This video is showing me changing the alpha of a model that was imported to gmod, and following this, a LFS Entity.

So... This means that i'll have to search on the LFS code and change something, which i don't have permission, and i hope that i'm wrong and there is another way that i'm not seeing it.

Very simple, but, it's doing the job that is suppose to do, finding why the LFS Entity is not getting translucent is top priority.
