Orcs? Goblins? Hags? Snaga?
Unlike the other thinking creatures, goblin-women, so-called hags, are either blessed or cursed with the tendency to give birth from twins to quadruplets. The majority of their offspring are the snaga, a rather miserable and diminutive caste in goblin society who endure ceaseless torments in their short little lives. The remainder are born as goblins, either hags or their male counterparts, and these goblins quickly find their way to hammering out arms and armor or becoming the cunning leadership for snaga raiding parties. Which snaga are terrifying at, given their propensity to climb walls or swim to escape the taskmaster's lash.

Orcs are a special case however. To the best we can determine, hags have some secret ritual or rite that produces an orc from their favored child. It is not clear if the distinction is determined from birth, or if something latent is stirred by strange medicines, or if they just bother to feed one child properly, but orcs grow massive compared to their smaller bretheren. With this comes a terrible ambition and a will to power that drives orcs to become the tyrants of whole warrens.

It is difficult to think what sort of chaotic place it might be to live in a goblin cave, given their general lawlessness and penchant for infighting. One hag is inevitably deemed 'fleshwitch' and becomes adept at setting bones and stitching ears back together, but the rest of their society appears from the outside to be a series of backs being whipped by another.
