Crash on game start v 1.2.7.31207
Hi. I moved my original comment into this discussion.
I get a crash on game start while using only the base vanilla components + this mod.
My game version is the latest as of today, 18/12/2023 playing on Steam with version 1.2.7.31207.
As I said - I'm lot even loading a saved game file. I just click PLAY to launch the game and it crashes.
Also, this is the ONLY mod I use. And I don't exagerate - I literally have just the main vanilla components:
Native, Sandbox Core, Birth and Aging Options, CustomBattle, SandBox and StoryMode.
And at the end I have the Useful Companions mod.
For user Midnight -> I read the description of the mod - there's nothing useful in there for me that could help me with this current issue. I am not using version 1.1.4 -> 1.1.6.
Current version of this mod is: 0.5.3.0

Also: I am not using beta version or any other tools. That's the way I've been playing on the previous stable version together with this mod and it worked ok.

guys, if your game keeps crashing whenver you try to start a new campaign/sandbox or load a game, Try to do this: First unsubscribe to Usefull companion mod, then go to your pc "your pc\documents\mount and blade 2 bannerlord" then search for the NHlogs folder and delete this folder. Then come back to the workshop and re-subscribe to usefull companions, fixed the crashes for me.

I'm trying to figure out what is happening, the beta version was working fine on the nexus for a few month already. If you can check what Kolgrimr is saying it would be nice.

Trying to investigate but I don't have this issue.

What version of windows are you guys using?

i've also noticed that 1.2.7 somehow messed with the config data, it never saved changes made to settings like battle size,graphic changes etc, fixed this by deleting the bannerlordConfig file and engine file and let bannerlord create a fresh one by launching the game again. It resetted all settings but it fixed the problem. Sometimes it can be a faulty patch download and not the mod.

Looks like a windows right issues for you Kolgrimr and it seem to only affect people on the workshop ... No reports like this on the nexus ...

I don't know if it was a windows right issue, it just kept bothering me that it never saved the graphic setting changes etc (i play on lower settings on multiplayer) so i just deleted them all and it fixed the config bug. UC itself worked fine after i deleted the NHlogs folder but since nobody yet tried the first step, i just thought i mention the second thing i did too, which also was much later and UC already worked fine.

Thanks dude! Worked for me.
I am now on v 1.2.8.31530 and the game works both to startup and to Load my previous save game WITH this mod enabled.
This topic can now be closed, but I suggest the mod owner @Midnight to add a small note with the fix in the mod description in case others come across the same issue.

I won't close it cause this is trully an issue. I really need to know how to deal with Windows right management as this will likely show up again and I don't want my mod to randomly crash for this kind of reasons lol.

For anyone who might be wondering, this still works for the 1.2.10 update too.
