I've gotten reports of people having troubles using Outfitter for the model. I am perfectly aware of this.


Outfitter comes with a built-in protection to prevent users from using playermodels with complex geometries as it will lag slower-spec PCs. While it works, this also breaks certain things like CSGO player models being wrongfully rejected (then again CSGO models have triangles having as much as 24K - well above the Outfitter limit!).

However this does not prevent loading of the models for those who already has it set, which also makes this safeguard all but redundant.


You will need to enter outfitter_allow_unsafe_http 1 in console.

You may also do this via the UI by dragging the bottom right side to the right to expand the options and select Unsafe.

I am now making steps to see if we can remove the need for this workaround by simplifying some parts of the model more, but there's no assurance they will work since Outfitter is a weird little thing.
