Do I need Counter-Strike: Source for the map?
The map used materials from Counter-Strike: Source.
If you don't have Counter-Strike: Source, you'll have error signs on the ceilings and some checkboard textures here and there.

Help! I lag a bunch on this map!
It's most likely your computer. Sadly, this isn't a low-end PC friendly map. Kammorne has tried to make it as optimised as possible.
If you have a low-end PC, you can try lowering your Graphics Settings. Try lowering your resolution, that helps, 800 x 600 isn't that bad.
Turn off VSync, turn off Advanced Water Techniques, lower shadow quality, turn off Multicore Rendering and turn off antialiasing. I have a relatively powerful computer, and I don't use Advanced Water Techniques or any form of Anti-Aliasing, because I don't really pay attention to the extra detail.

A large amount of addons can also decrease performance. Do you really need all those nuclear weapons and fancy cars? To test this, disable all addons apart from the map, and see if you still experience lag. If you don't, enable the addons you deem essential and go from there.


Is this a horror map? Are there any jump scares I should be aware of? Do I need an extra pair of pants by my side?
The map is inspired off a horror game, but it's a sandbox map, there are no jump scares.
You may need an extra pair of pants after playing in a sandbox though, its not nice having sand in your pants for the rest of the day.


Does the map have AI Nodes?
The map has AI Nodes!


Nextbot nav?
The map has Nextbot nav!


Does the map have a working nav_mesh?
The map officially has nav_mesh!


The HID Turret is too quiet!
Either it's too quiet, or everyone in the map can hear it. Not Worth.


The map doesn't show up in my map list!
Make sure the addon is enabled in your addon list, or if it's even there to begin with. The download may have failed so it's best to check.


How do I open Gates A & B?
Both Gates require the computer (SCP-079) to unlock them, disable the remote door control, go see him, then turn the door control back on. Only then will the gates be unlocked.


I'm colliding into things that aren't there, when I didn't before an update!
It’s likely both models and collision models were changed between updates. However, Garry's Mod likes to cache collision models, and you're probably hitting those. An easy fix is to uninstall then reinstall the addon.

The game crashed while loading the map! What do I do?
It has to do with something related to your version of Garry's Mod. Have you tried validating your game files? How many additional addons do you have installed? Could any of them conflict with Site 19? Does the console say anything useful when loading into the map? What does it say before it crashes? Will disabling the addons relating to the errors that pop up in the console fix the problem?

Well, we don't really know what causes the crashes you're experiencing, but there's a high chance that the questions listed above will solve your problem.

Future Updates:
SFM Version?
Tried and failed. SFM won't load the map due to the size and entity count.


Can you add x?
Unless it's a minor detail, No. I simply don't have the space in the file for it without removing other parts now.


What about toggleable lights? The lights are already there!
If toggleable lighting were to be implemented, each light entity would take up a "dynamic entity" status, meaning that the game has to keep memory of it. The Source Engine only has a specific limit to this. (Dynamic entities include physics props, doors, buttons, trigger points, relay points, etc).
Currently within the map, there are 714 light entities. If I were to make them toggleable (give them a targetname in hammer), that would create 714 dynamic entities. Considering Kammorne can't even add 2 more doors to the map, that becomes a major problem when wanting to add things such as the toggleable lights.


Will the map continue being updated?
"We've said multiple times in the past that the map may no longer be updated, but a new update just rolled out regardless. Kammorne has nearly hit the brush limit, so this is the last major patch."
We said this when the Town was added. Now, the Town is gone and Gate B has taken its place. Huh.


Can we have a darker version of the map?
Nope, no darker version. Making a darker version of the map would take too much time. Something Kammorne doesn't have.
You have to realise that we're living, breathing people. Kammorne has Polytech, I have University. We have deadlines to meet.
I mean, you could just say "Remove all the lights from the map GG EZ fix", but removing all the lights from the map doesn't make it dark, it makes it fullbright. As in sunny day bright.
I mean, hey, you may see it in the future, but that means Kammorne has to worry about updating two different versions of the map.
It’s not the editing that’s hard; it's the compile and upload time afterwards.


Remove the Tesla Gates
Changing the tesla gate would take time. Kammorne doesn't have the time or motivation to change that.
But, he's motivated enough to add more Tesla Gates. Removing them though? No, too much effort.


Would you be able to add this SCP's room to the map?
In the past, we would say no. There have been a large amount of SCP suggestions and there are too many to fit into the map.
Regardless, Kammorne has added a very large amount of suggested rooms into the map. I'm not sure why but they're there.
But now, the map barely passes the Source Engine's resource limits. It’s incredibly unlikely that more SCP rooms will be added in the future.


Add SCP 895 Hallucinations?
The Hallucinations are client side, if one user looks into the monitors, then everyone in the server would see it



Creating your own version of the map:
Can I modify this version of the map?
No, however you may edit the older gm_foundation version provided in the "Map Creations and Remakes" discussion.


Yeah, that’s great and everything, but can I get a the newer .VMF for gm_site19?
Short answer: No.
Kammorne put a lot of time and effort remaking the map from scratch. He doesn't want to release it after multiple users claimed SCP Foundation as their own work.


I have the old SCP Foundation .VMF, Can I update the map myself?
As long as you credit Kammorne in the release, you are able to tweak the older map to your liking and allow others to play it.


Can I use the models, materials and sounds to make my own version?
Yes, the models, materials and sounds are within the download for the gm_foundation .vmf


Can I take parts of this map and put it in my own?
No. That's theft. Theft is illegal.


What If I credit you though?
Still a No.


Can I make a remake of this map, if I create my own from scratch?
No. A direct copy of the map is the same as just taking Kammorne's version and posting it as your own.


What If I make my own layout?
Go ahead. More layouts would probably be appreciated by the breach community.


What's the password for the .VMF file?
The readme file should have it, read the readme!

Personally, I don't even know anything about this whole "Mapping" thing other than sometimes there are leaks in the map (But there’s no water in the map what?). Regardless, thank you for supporting the SCP Foundation map throughout the years. The endless stream of criticism and suggestions have helped shape the map into what it is today. I know what the Map looked like back then, this version is 1,000 times better, trust me, I know lots about map.

I have CS:S, and it's mounted, yet about one third of the map has black/purple textures, mostly railings, windows, etc. Any idea on what I should do? :/

Could I recieve a copy of the .vmf file? I am working on a project for a scp:rp server and could really use this map. I will give credit to the owner like asked and all that can be handled by and through the communities council if necessary.

And I did type the password in and even copied and pasted it, it also said the first time I tried "No files found."

@Kammorne Okay I redownloaded it multiple times and tried I keep on getting this error

still the same error, is there a way you can send me whats inside the file directly. I've read the ReadMe, the program I am using to open to open it is Winrar i'm not sure if that is the problem. And I will tell you the password if you want.

Is there anyway to keep nextbots from opening doors? SCP-049 keeps breaking out of containment chambers, even when I put him in 682's chamber. CX
