In-depth Description
The Pygmy Wyrm

A pygmy wyrm[i.imgur.com] (known by dwarves as idromåmgoz or "short dragon") is a hot-tempered lesser dragon found underground as well as in swamps and marshes. It's slightly larger than a saltwater crocodile with a powerful bite, two grasping legs and sharp claws. They come in a small variety of colors with their scales mostly being variations of gray, and golden underbellies. Their eyes are often blue, reminding dwarves of precious gems.

The pygmy wyrm is fiercely territorial and will attack almost anything that gets too close. Given its wrathful nature, the pygmy wyrm will also frequently become enraged in combat. It will typically rend with its scything claws or tear its prey apart with a powerful bite, but is also known to grapple and wrestle prey to the ground, and even throw smaller creatures.

The pygmy wyrm is carnivorous and an excellent swimmer. They do not breathe fire.

Personality

A pygmy wyrm's most notable feature is its bad temper. The average pygmy wyrm is quick to anger and they are known to lose control when fighting, which most of them also enjoy. They are also predisposed to hold grudges against those who have wronged them and develop stewing hatreds easily.

In the wild approaching a pygmy wyrm is ill-advised at best as they will attack anything that disturbs them without warning. They are easily able to wrestle an unprepared dwarf to the ground and tear them to pieces.
