Garry's Mod

Garry's Mod

ARC9 Weapon Base
Quick Melee Attack Feature - Solved.
Oi.

Idea - Quick melee attack for CQB/CQC moments. Most Garry's Mod maps are not that big or consist of small spaces. That and the fact, that NPCs have melee attack for CQB, make player in a bit of disadvantage (ingore Q menu, I am talking about "Tacticool Gunfight" sort of moments).

Just a simple shove with weapon or a poke with the barrel for moments when you have no other choice (if choice to use your AK as a funking spear was an option) would be pretty nice! I think so, at least...

Update: Uh... I was dumb and it exists. Read the thing below if you are interested.

arc9 have this feature, but some packs disable it
mw19 pack definitely have it enabled

Oh. Two questions, do EFT packs have it and does the bind for it show up in HUD UI?

eft packs have melee attacks disabled as it trying to be as close to eft as possible

technically you can try override it through supermodifers in settings
BashOverride in first line, true in second line, hit apply

Thanks! I ll try it out.

Works... Another two questions, can it be made through usual settings (like override of quick melee by packs. Just curious) and is there any way to rebind it? E+Enter not the best combo for human fingers... no offense, I swear.

it is e + fire button (so left mouse button), you probably just have it bound to enter too so hint shows it instead
it probably can be made as custom attachment on eft packs, i don't think anyone is willing to do that though. supermodifers are fine

Yeah, just found out about Enter... That was embarrassing.

About setting, I dont really care about settings, just dont want another player to be like "Hm... No quick melee? This base sucks." cuz usually everything is in settings. Btw, do supermodifiers save between sessions? E.g. will they save if I close the game? Sorry for a lot questions...

yes they save as any other setting (if you properly quit game through main menu)

Neat. I am sorry for stupidity and using English, though I could've used Russian. Wanted it to be understandable for both communities. :)
