Have you ever lost an item due to these problems? Or on the contrary, have you ever received duplicate items?

This is what I found:

1- Incompatible with the mod: The Only Cure.

When you have a character with a missing limb, when you log out, then log back in, Avatar Offline notifies you with the following message:

"An item has been taken from you"
"An item has been given to you"

it's removing the "severed limb" item from The Only Cure, the giving it back, which basically Resets the missing limb of the character.

This gives the illusion that your character has regrown the previous missing limb and it places the "severed limb" permanently into their inventory, which cannot be deleted even in admin or -debug mode.

2- Some items do get duplicated, but I don't know why. I suspect it is because of other mods as well. Some object held in hands like a hammer or sword may get duplicated when taken or given.

Mods like Fancy Handiwork, Brutal Handiwork, Visible Carried Items, Gun Stock Attack,More Slings, and other mods change how items are held and placed on a character.

So I think that these items get duplicated because they are not in the characters basic inventory, but rather "in hand" or "on belt" or "on tactical vest".

It looks like an item held in the right hand is fine, but if held in the left it is at risk of being duplicated.

I also duplicated a generator. Holding a generator, while using Visible held items, I then took the generator from the offline character, making two of them. The original stayed on the offline character so when they logged in, the generator was still there.

thank you for all these details, I will see all this in the code, however there should be no duplication, I will redo all these tests to see it, I am thinking of reviewing the code, but I do not know if I will succeed to release something reliable...

I think your code is probably fine. Just looks like how it interacts with other mods.

Like the "severed arm" from The Only Cure is treated as a clothing item that is worn by the character to make the limb vanish.

This is the most recent version, and the best version of the mod that works. All the other versions have bugs and other issues
