Help, why won't DP_pov work?

whenever I die, (with DP_PoV set to 1) I stay in third person, I tried uninstalling other mods, and lo and behold, it still doesn't work, help??

if you have complex death animation active, go to settings > complex death animation settings > client settings > enable firstperson.
