Like obsidian, I think glass could be used for modest slashing or piercing weapons, including Bolts for crossbows (possibly even ballista arrows & arrowheads?!)

I forgot about terrariums!
And glass bolts are a fun idea. Leave a nasty wound were they to shatter. I’ll add them and glass chain today. Ballista bolts will be a touch tricker since I’ll have to make them assembled in the siege workshop. Unless I decide to make the entire bolt glass

I'm going to try glass armor too. Is it practical? Nope. Is it better than nothing? Debatable.
I'll probably do the entire military at that point. Glass hammers is such a goofy idea

I know there are already glass jugs and glass barrels would be pretty pointless, but i want them anyway. Also glass dice, even though they're literally useless other than as trade goods.
Edit, i meant to say pots, not jugs.

All of those are already in base Dwarf Fortress, including the dice.

I'm pretty sure unless the wiki is wrong and they have a different name that glass barrels don't exist.

They're glass pots, same as stone

Yes, glass pots exist, but pots are a different thing to barrels. Some tasks require a barrel specifically, though pots are lighter.

I see what you mean. I'll add glass barrels since there's both metal barrels and pots anyway

I know it's not really realistic for dwarves to be able to make, but what about glass fibers?

You mean for making thread and cloth? Goofy for sure haha, I'll look into it.
Ideally I can just add glass thread and the game can use it to make cloth if it grabs the material used.
Asbestos can be made into fabric and we have fiber optic, so I don't see why not
