so i understand that the buy/sell prices are affected by stock levels now. however this seems to be a huge issue. i made a small factory and what is happening is its producing faster than it gets materials in. so it is paying up words of 16x the base price for items because its constantly out of materials and selling for less than full price because the stock is always high because the factory rips through materials as fast as it can get a hold of them. resulting in HUGE losses.

I am unsure how this is supposed to work fully in your system i guess but having it based on stock levels and be that extream just seems like it doesn't work with this game since i cant specify buy/sell priced amounts

A bug, this was supposed to be NPC Station only feature.
Pricing of goods should be for player to decide.
I'll fix this after AI

On a side note, I kind of see how that could work with more focus on manual supplying, trading and economy chains before depending on automation.
But I'm not doing that as default - maybe in future, as optional feature.

I logged on to give it a try but im afraid somethign is broken in my save at this point. I have 5 stations total. only one the toxic waste power plant sells anything. the rest have tons of ships constantly docking and leaving but selling nothing or buying nothing. i have a copper mine that was making great profits but now sits full with a line of ships waiting to dock 6-7 ships at a time trying to get into 3 docks. but not a single one buys any copper they just dock and leave. i have 2 other stations that have not bought or sold a single item since creating them. all the stations are set up the same way they are set to buy and sell to others they have the same loadouts and i have money available. also the zones are NOT hazzard zones. so im a bit stumped atm. ive tried engaging move mode and back to see if it would refresh them but no luck and im out of ideas now.

also a side note with the toxic waste power plant it just makes energy with no inputs and its suposed to require chemicals and toxic waste to function.

You mean, they stopped trading after the fix? Or you're not sure if that just after loading the game?

It would be a waste, and I see no reason for them to be broken, but to find exact issue I'd need your save file to load and debug myself.

I'll look into this on my own. This really should work as Vanilla with extra NPC merchants around. ( though some of them are visiting only, not trading )

yes i loaded my save up twice for about an hour each time and they are not trading aside from that one station that sells energy cells. i just made a new game in creative and made a factory and it is functioning just fine so it very well just be my save that is having issues.

That's sad to hear, and should not happen. Anything in server logs from that "broken" save?

I'll need to dig into this - but got a feeling this is reversible, and potentially showing up at some point anyway on new saves.

Okay, it should be fixed now - and work for your older save. Just let those existing ships dock and leave.

The issue was - a ship limit. Your stations got spammed by bugged NPCs preventing actual trade from happening.

Well, I hope it was the case for you. I've checked and trading unclogged - it will be less frequent than pre-prices fix ( stock based pricing triggered spawning a lot of traders, lot of them bugged anyway ) - should behave as Vanilla now.
