Hello everyone and thankyou for playing Day Job 9-5.

This is the official walkthrough guide and I hope it serves you well! I have listed each puzzle in the order you should play but you can basically complete any task in any order.

The goal is to get 5 gold coins that you will see appear in the coin dispenser machine for completing tasks for the people of Day Jobville. Once you have all your coins you can deposit them into the slot near the elevator and then finally press the white call elevator button. The doors will open and you enter to end this adventure.


Fix The Leak! This puzzle requires you to get the wrench from the managers office drawer. The first step is opening the managers door. When you start your adventure you are greeted with the problem of the leak and are given the key to the office. Grab the key and head into the office. If you go behind the desk you will see there is a locked drawer that has a combination lock that is colored. Upon further inspection of the room you will see that there is a poster on the wall with the numbers 7542 matching to lines that connect to colors. You simply need to trace each color down the line to get to the number. If you have done this and got anything other then: 7 red, 5 yellow, 4 green, 2 blue then you may have traced wrong. Enter the code via color from left to right which should read 7 - 2 - 4 - 5


Help Me Gather The Papers Over in the back left of the office you will be greeted by another member of the Jobville community. They don't have thumbs which means you need to help them find the missing papers and return them to them by placing them under their arm. The locations of the paper are as follows. One is on the main podium where you started the game. Another is near the elevator on the floor. The third is in the managers office under the chair and lastly there is one on the desk in the corner near the task giver. Once they are all returned to the Jobville employee your gold coin will appear at the machine.


Help Reset The Computer Systems This puzzle is a little bit more complex and involves a few points. Go to the managers computer and click the mouse to wake the computer from its sleep state. You will be presented with 6 buttons of different animals. You need to figure out that his niece hid the correct order to click these buttons in the slideshow on the projector. Turn the projector on and you will see a poem flash on the screen describing a specific animal with a number in the top left corner. The final results are Cat. Fish. Rabbit. Bird. Make sure to click the system reboot icon on the screen.


The Rescrambler Once you have completed the step above for reseting the computer system you need to go look at the other computer screens. You will see them flash a series of numbers. Remember the managers computer? There was a sticky note on the screen telling you not to forget to look for the difference. If you notice the numbers back on the other screens they follow a formula. Blue has 2-4-6 on the screens. The difference is 2. Red has 14-21-28 on the screens. The difference is 7. The Green screens have 10-15-20 on them. The difference is 5. Meaning your code is 257 from left to right. Don't forget to hit the enter button!



The Mail Center The Jobville employee has given you the names and numbers of mailboxes. This is a red herring though and not necessary information. Behind you on the desk is a note about the mail center and organizing it properly. Its a process of elimination puzzle. Its fairly simple to do but here are the answers if you can't figure it out.

Now that you have completed all the tasks you can go back to the coin dispenser and pickup all your gold coins. Head over to the elevator and place them one at a time into the elevator slot. Now press the white button and the elevator doors should open. Walk inside to complete the room!
